They filmed the video in Japan with a Japanese film and sound crew. The film came out good. The sound recording was so terrible it was completely unusable.

They booked Abbey Road studios in London for the re-recording. They set up the film and the re-recorded all the guitars, bass and vocals with the band watching the film to make sure their playing synced up with the visuals on the screen.

The producer (my professor in college) decided the snare drum was unusable as well (though the rest of the kit sounded fine) so he went into the vault at Abbey, found the master tapes from Iron Maiden's Piece of Mind and sampled a single snare drum hit from The Trooper. That one snare drum hit was used for the entire film. So in reality, when you're watching the video it's Rockenfield playing the kit...but it's Nicko McBrain on snare.

I thought something was up due to the comments below the video where there was a bit of an argument going on about it being live or not. I thought it was from the VHS which is the bonus on the remastered version of the Ep from a few years back. I was mentioning in another thread how tight and dialed in this band was (but referring more to their antics and interplay between each other on stage) as I have grown to distrust "Live" albums somewhat in the last decade or so. It's weird to look back and see them this enegetic and excited and then see all that went down since 2001 or so. Shame, really.
