| I love coming home from vacation to a bunch of new music waiting for me!!
Sebastian Bach - Bring 'Em Bach Alive Jeff Beck and Friends - Rock n Roll Party Honoring Les Paul
Carnivore - Retaliation* Graveyard Train - Graveyard Train Graviators - Motherload Great White - Great White Great White - Back to the Rhythm
Hardcore Superstar - Beg For It** Imelda May - Mayhem Silverchair - Frogstomp Silverchair - Neon Ballroom
*I was excited to find a used copy of Carnivore's Retaliation in FYE, but when I got it home and opened it up, it was scratched to hell and skipped like crazy, so back it went.
**The HCSS disc looked fine, but it wouldn't play in my car or home stereo. When I put it in the cd drive of my computer, it was full of data and no music. The files were all Beg For It-related, like notepad text files and weird jibberish. I can't say for certain that it was a bootleg, seemed more like a production error. Nevertheless, I contacted the ebay seller immediately and she refunded my money and told me to keep the disc, which I promptly threw in the trash. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| CD - Various Artists - Beyond Rock (Cool compilation of Seattle Progressive Rock bands from 1992.I guess grunge wasn’t the only scene going on there………. It sounds like it got killed off by the Grunge/Seattle music explosion as well.) LP - Daniel Hecht – Willow (A Windham Hill acoustic guitar release) LP - The Edge with Michael Brook – Captive (excellent atmospheric soundtrack. The Edge should have done a proper solo album of this kind of material) LP - Balaam and The Angel - The Greatest Story Ever Told LP - Dave Brubeck Trio - Dave Brubeck Trio Featuring Cal Tjader LP - Mercyful Fate – Melissa (2014 reissue) LP - Saxon - The Eagle Has Landed: Live (Finally) LP - Motörhead - No Remorse (I found the three metal albums all at the same place! Phono Select Records) CD - Time Being - Time Being (obscure American Prog from 1994. Good stuff!) | |

Using some Best Buy Reward Zone points, I got both of these new, shipped to me for the total out-of-pocket sum of $5.20. Sweet!! _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

While lesser albums to be sure, neither is the total shit-sandwich that their reputation would lead you to believe. TE has some good songs and so does Forbidden. You Won't Change Me from TE I think is one of Ozzy's best performances. |

You Won't Change Me from TE I think is one of Ozzy's best performances. While they are both my least favorite Sabbath albums, I am listening to Forbidden now and I agree that they are both far better than the reviews they get. I love all the Ozzy years albums and the only song that I do not like on TE is She's Gone.

I love all the Ozzy years albums and the only song that I do not like on TE is She's Gone. "Back Street Kids" is one of my favorite Sabbath tunes and an excellent album opener. TE all around is excellent and nowhere near deserving of the reviews it gets, in my opinion. I like it better than some of the other more celebrated albums (including the debut).

| Stopped by Newbury Comics in Bellingham today. They had a section of maybe 150 CDs labeled THAT GUY'S THINGS (not sure what that's about). Save for those I already own, I wanted every goddamn CD there. All 70s and 80s rock. Lots of reissues with bonus tracks and such.
Alas, I am on a budget.
I did grab a few, of course. =)
