Best of post-2000 Megadeth albums?

Six studio albums since 2000: which is your favorite?

Megadeth fan boy here, but I go with the United Abominations!

System has Failed.

Tossup between System Has Failed and Endgame for me. But for the sake of the vote... (flips coin) ... Endgame!

6. Super Collider (gave me Ebola)
5. The World Needs a Hero (a good idea here and there)
4. The System Has Failed (surprisingly energetic/bogged down with filler)
3. Th1rt3en (AMAZING re-recorded songs)
2. United Abominations (Dave is extra sassy/great solos)

Gave endgame the slight edge over UA

Endgame is actually amongst my top five favorite Megadeth albums, period. It's easily their best 21st century album.

This is hard, due to the fact that since 2000, I think Megadeth has dipped way into what the pool of mediocrity. I like songs off certain albums, but I think there is a ton of filler. I think Dave Mustaine has been trying to please too many fans, those who are clamoring for the stuff akin to their thrash days of Rust In Peace or those who enjoyed the more mid-tempo stuff like Countdown To Extinction. What you then have is this stylistic approach which seems sort of forced. I haven't really liked the production of the albums all that much lately either. It's too clean, with Dave's vocals way up in the mix. I've never been much of a Shawn Drover fan and though I really liked Broderick; he didn't seem to find his niche within the band.

United Abominations but Endgame at a close second.

Endgame and System have great hooks; the latter more so, but the former makes up for that in sheer heaviness and killer riffs throughout.

I've also been digging quite a few of the tracks on Super Collider--it just doesn't make for as nice of a listen all the way through as the first two on my list.

United Abominations has just never appealed to me for some reason, though I'm going to give it another chance soon.

I liked Moto Psycho when it came out, but these days I have no real desire to listen to this album.

None of those albums made enough of an impact on me to purchase them, so none of the above.

I voted for United Abominations.

Endgame

System Has Failed, with United Abominations a close second.

I like most of their catalogue, but I think the modern era has been the weakest overall. Not bad, but not as remarkable as most of their 80s or 90s stuff (not counting Risk).

united abominations. sleepwalker is one of the best tracks ever. so is washington is next.

endgame would be my second choice.

hope metallica would learn something from this.

I liked all of these, but UA stuck out the most for me.....and the title track gets stuck in my head the most.

United Abominations is my pick with Endgame second.

'Endgame' for me, love that album

United Abominations with Endgame a close 2nd.

I dunno. They all kind of run together as one. There's no variation in quality--however the overall quality isn't terribly impressive. They're just not that good. Listenable, but that's about it.
