| Hell yeah!
HELPLESS (Live Acoustic) THE FOUR HORSEMEN (Live Acoustic) LAST CARESS (Live Acoustic) LOW MAN'S LYRIC (Live Acoustic) TUESDAY'S GONE (Live Acoustic) FADE TO BLACK (Live Acoustic) POOR TWISTED ME (Live Acoustic)
Haha. I guess this was for a benefit show like 10 years ago, so some of you may have seen this. I haven't until tonight, and I thought it was pretty cool! I can't believe they pulled some of these off, especially "Four Horsemen!" Haha.
I know a lot of you will scoff at these, but I think they're pretty cool. And you know Cliff approves, being in that Country Rapcore Gangsta Fun band in heaven and all. |

| Metallica has made a joke of themselves and a fool out of the fans for a few years now, why waste money is my question! | |

| I wouldn't buy anything they made no matter how old or new it is. This album or video mentioned is a complete waste of money! | |

| Helpless and Last Caress is useless. Low Man's lyrics on the other hand was probably written this way initially! _________________ | |

| Yeah i'd love to see that, although a whole acoustic album may grate on me a bit. Maybe something like Led Zeppelin III which is quite acoustic yet rocks. Infact Bruce Dickinson wanted Iron Maiden to do an acoustic type album like Zep III around the late 80's, but Arry pulled rank and it sadly never eventuated. And Maiden's creative output stagnated. | |

How the hell can a band make a fool out of the fans? |

| The hype! Based on the early works, they do have a solid fan following, but looking at the later works...... isn;t it self evident? | |

No. If you're a music fan and don't realize that bands change and evolve their sound as they get older then you can't place any blame on the band. That's you. |

But the problem is when the so called evolution as compared to the bands early works fail miserably. The so called evolution as implemented by U2 or Scorpions or Iron Maiden have been fantastic, but the so called evolution as implemented by bands like Metallica and Def Leppard have been a big failure with relation to their early (original) works.

Well, there's no facts in what you just said, only opinion. I personally love everything Metallica and Def Leppard have done, except St. Anger and X, respectively. And I think U2 sucks. See how that works? Haha. |

| I've heard an acoustic Four Horsemen before, it was interesting. As are these videos. I'd actually considering getting an acoustic live album of theirs.
On a vaguely related note, has anyone heard any of the Megadeth live acoustics? I'm curious as to whether or not they're any good. _________________

For pre-promotion of The World Needs A Hero, the band held a small album-release party in a few citys. I was fortunate enough to attend. The album was played in it's entirety (with a laser light show), then the band came out, did a Q & A session with the audience and played a short acoustic set (5 or 6 songs). Pretty cool to see live, but I don't know if it would work for a whole album of material. As for Metallica, I'd have to hear some of it before I'd buy it. St. Anger (among other things) has really tarnished my image of the band and I'm not the fan-boy I once was. There is so much other great music out there that I don't want to waste my time with them anymore. If the new album is any good, sure, I'll probably pick it up. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

Well, I think there have been 2 actual CDs released by Megadeth of acoustic stuff, but only to Fanclub members. If they weren't so rare, I'd probably have picked one up by now. _________________

| Hmmm... sounds kinda sorta OK but after a decade-plus of disappointments I have decided to quit throwing my money into the roaring bonfire that is Metallica Inc.
So I'd pass. | |

| I have an acoustic Metallica bootleg that's kind of cool. Acoustic albums can be cool, but I don't know that I'd really want one from Metallica. I'd rather they just release a GOOD, new album. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!
