Any fans? I only have the first two albums, but i do have to say that i like pretty much everything i've heard from them. I'd go as far as to call them one of the best power-pop bands ever, up there with Cheap Trick.

I have the self titled one with the Buddy Holly song on it - had it for ages - I really should explore more of their catalog.
I like the album well enough - but it is not a favorite.

Not too familiar with them, other than the fact that my wife had a class with Brian Bell at the University Of Tennessee around the time Buddy Holly was a hit.

The only album I own is Maladroit, which I enjoy. Never sure why I've never picked up anything else by them as I do enjoy their take on power-pop. I used to see their albums in the used shops all the time.

They've done some great music videos (the "Happy Days" themed "Buddy Holly," and whichever song it was where they were backstage at "The Muppet Show") but aside from those tracks I've never paid'em much attention.

'Keep Fishin'
That was the song/video that caught my attention. I never paid 'em no attention before or after this album. I was far too metal to listen to that sissy alternative music of the 90's.

I've always had a mixed relationship with this band. The first "blue" album is decent enough, but it's almost so catchy as to become fluff - and that's been the issue I've had with almost all of their music. It'll get your foot tapping, but then you forget the song as soon as it's over.

They pretty much ruled the second night of KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas concert a week ago
