I know I'm in the minority here, but are there any other Weezer fans out there?
I just got their new album, "Raditude" at Target yesterday with my birthday money.
VERY good alternative/power pop album. It just doesn't get much better than this for this style of music. At least for me.
Now I'm on a mission to acquire all their albums. I was just flat out blown away by this band. Say what you will.

I've got the first several Weezer albums when I was going through my "alternative pop" phase. Can't say I ever spin them these days.

Heard worse, but not a fan. Hate the Sweater Song though, I could do without hearing that again pretty much forever.
and no, Rivers' old 80's prog metal band isn't very good.

Rivers is a genius if you ask me. Im not the biggest Weezer fan but Im a fan. I think the Blue album is one of the best alternative albums to come out ever. Pinkerton was great as was Make Believe. All in all great band..
I do not own everything the band put out but I do have a few albums..
My favorite Weezer song...

Yea man, just get all their stuff. The Blue album though was reissued as a deluxe version a while back with tons of b-sides from that era. I think they also released that bonus cd seperately a few months back. My friend just picked me up a cd they had come out on record store day. its got 5 songs on it but its a cool collectors thing. Weezer is one of my favorite bands probably number 2 right after Helloween.
If you like Weezer's Blue Album you might want to check out The Rentals. That is their original bass players band after he left Weezer. Their first album sounds almost like left over songs from the blue album. definetly something worth checking out.

I love the Blue Album and the album Pinkerton. Most people hate Pinkerton, but the more that you listen, the more it grows on you. It is an awesome album.

I'm a fan, I guess. I like all of their self-titled albums and a few of the songs on Make Believe. Pretty good pop-rock with a slight alternative feel.
From what I've read, Cuomo is a complete douchebag.

I am not a huge fan but you count me as a fan of Weezer I have three of their disc, it has been awhile since I have spun any of their disc but all three are enjoyable and would not mind owning the rest of their discography.

Wayne, I'll definitely check out The Rentals!
Also, I can understand why you'd put Weezer as your second favorite band. They really arethat good! I have little to no doubt that Weezer will eventually be in my top 10 favorite bands. I need to collect more of their platters though. And I will soon. Believe you me. Their stuff is now at the VERY top of my list!!!

Joker, the more I get to know you, the more you seem like a really cool person. Great taste in tunes, reminding me often of myself. I can listen to Iron Maiden one minute and the next be spinning something like Weezer. That's just open-minded as heck.
Cheers to ya mate! I'll drink a coldy in your favor.

That is THE song that got me into this band in the first place!!
I always loved that song, but never bought that album back when it came out.
Kinda didn'twant to like it, if ya know what I mean.
But years go by and I still get that song in my head!!! Great hooks!
So anyway ... I was at Target the other day and saw they had a new one, so I did something I rarely ever do - and bought a cd I was not real sure about.
I went home and cranked it, and I could hardly believe my ears!!!
This music is programmed for me.
It also sounds incredible when you're stoned.
