Do they still play "Tailgunner" live? I used to lose my mind to that tune in concert in the 80's.

"Tailgunner" came out in 1990. Do you mean "Aces High?"

Maybe. Actually, It must have been since I have not seen Maiden since the 80's. Nice pickup, WF. So, different question - Do they still play Aces High?

I believe they usually do "Aces High" in the encore.

I just looked up Tailgunner. That IS the song I was thinking of. My metal memory calendar must be off.

hmmm. I just had a flashback when I was driving home from work. So, I must have seen them on Fear of the Dark then, I assume? The 90's are such a blur.

Great song, but it's not very likely they will play it again.

"Tailgunner" was essentially "Aces High Part II" anyhoo.

Because they're both about airplanes? I hear no musical similarities in the riffs or melodies.

Tailgunner is a great song. I hope they reintroduce it to their live set again. And despite what most fans say, I think NPFTD is a good album.

SetlistFM is always the way to go when it comes to setlists. Joker would be right as always when it comes to Maiden, 1992. Here's the history of how many times they played this live.

I hope they don't bring it back. I think that whole album is terrible. Put Mother Russia in the set if they were to put any song from that album!

Mother Russia is by far the best song on that album.

The album isn't terrible, but it's definitely a case of "for diehard fans only". I imagine that most people were quite disappointed when it came out.

Put me in for Mother Russia as well. However, I enjoy everything Maiden put out including that album.

I like Tailgunner a lot, but I've seen Maiden a bunch of times and I've never seen it played live.

They played Aces High every time except once in 2005 I think. The Early Days Tour.

They performed the song during the 1990/´91 No Prayer On The Road & 1992 Fear Of The Dark tours. It was voted for inclusion on the Ed Hunter game soundtrack but wasnt played on the subsequent tour.

Aces High was performed on the World Slavery Tour 1984/´85 but was then absent all through up to 1999, when it was played on the Ed Hunter tour. They've since performed it on the 2008/´09 Somewhere Back In Time & 2012-2014 Maiden England tours. And it was only the Maiden England tour it was played in the encore - other mentioned tours they opened with it.
