Not a big fan of watchmojo, but I think they did a decent job with this video that came out today. Interested to see what they'll put up for the following decades:

I thought MEGADETH did a great cover of No More Mr. Nice Guy - I first heard JAILBREAK in high school by a garage band. I was knocked out - Priest " There were many who tried to proove they were faster " - classic lyrics ! That Deep purple video - I have to track down that concert dvd ! Gillian looks incredible ! AC DC to ZEP - this is a great closing in on the list - as the 70's were closing - BLUE OYSTER CULT should of been number one ! What the F**K ???!!! There was NOTHING compared to that song - That song had it all -

Van Halen and Boston jump to mind as fairly influential 70's bands...

Dude, it's blasphemy to not mention Scorpions in something like that. Kudos to actually mentioning BOC though, they don't get enough recognition. Despite Reaper being a perfect single, I would say Cities on Flame is their most influential on the genre.

I don't know..Ted Nugent was pretty hot and defining in the 70s...back then he just played some mean guitar..Cat Scratch Fever, Great white Buffalo and the stunning stranglehold... ... Also Nazareth...

In retrospect they do, but the number of people who actually knew of them outside of New York in the late 70's is miniscule. They hardly even played club shows in the 70's.

Maybe, but I still say that they deserve a spot somewhere for helping spearhead what would later be known as speed metal. "Warrior" was as speed metal as you could get for 1977, aside from some songs off Judas Priest's Sin After Sin being almost or just as intense.
