I'm a really big fan of Rammstein, and I found this band last night on youtube. They started out as Volkerball but later changed their name to Heldmaschine. If I had heard this on the radio without knowing who it was, I would have swore it was Rammstein, They sound just like them.

That sure does sound like Rammstein.

I actually like the music but I have the same problem with it that I have with Rammstein.  Even though I'm not a big fan of lyrics, I find it really distracting when the lyrics are sung in a language other than English.  It's stupid I know but that's just how I feel.  I have several Rammstein CDs but I never listen to them and that's primarily why.  I also have a ton of KMFDM CDs which I spin a lot because they're mostly sung in English.

Their lead singer even looks like Till.

I like. Thanks for the heads up.

I discovered Heldmaschine today when browsing Youtube. Some people said they are a cover band of Rammstein but they apparently have released their own album and still kept the style.

Not every band sounds good in English and Rammestein is a good example. They just sound awkward in English. I think it's a shame the language distracts you to appreciate the songs.

4 years later, I discover another band with a similar sound. There appears to be a genre of music in Germany called "Neue Deutsche Härte" which includes Rammstein, Heldmaschine, and others. Which brings me to Eisbrecher.

If you look at band pics online, it's like they borrowed the pirate gimmick from Running Wild and let it evolve. But I digress.. Enjoy
