Jag Panzer - Harry "The Tyrant" Conklin - out of the band

"Just a heads up to my friends before any official announcement - Jag Panzer is looking for a new vocalist. Harry is an AMAZING vocalist and lifelong friend of mine. I was blown away when I first heard him sing and I still am blown away by his voice. He's got a big voice and bigger heart, he's a good guy. He didn't want to commit to anything more with the band. I support his decision, but I've got another album nearly done and I want to record and play."

Major bummer for me.

Major bummer for any Jag Panzer fans.

He'd better make a Titan Force reunion in this case.

Too bad. That's a huge loss and a tough person to replace. I'm going to have to check out Satan's Host at some point.

Just my personal opinion. I like the more sinister vibe of Satan's Host. Plus, they have the blastbeats.

But the riffs are terrible!

If anything, BALLISTIC was better.

I was hoping he would do both bands.. Harry is one of the greats in my book.

Mark Briody & Jag Panzer put out world class metal imho.. They have some pretty big shoes to fill & it will be interesting to see who they get.. If they do not plan on touring they could bring in anybody to sing on the cd.. Anybody care to guess?

Big shoes to fill that's for sure.

I agree that Satan's Host is musically/vocally fantastic. I can't handle the lyrics. It's a shame because their sound is nearly perfect with Conklin singing.

This is difficult to understand. In the end it is the music that matters anyway. And Patrick said he just writes lyrics about things he is interested in. I do not think that there is anything wrong with that.

They're playing at Keep it True festival next year. Which reminds me; didn't Jag Panzer disband a couple of years ago? But reunited very soon after that ...

I wonder if they are going for a local guy or would be happy with someone from a European IRON MAIDEN tribute band.

He would be good, but honestly with his track record of being in and out of bands I don't think he would last anyway. Jag Panzer really doesn't do that much to keep him involved with the band. Actually Urban Breed is in another new band with Thoman Stauch, Roland Grapow and a few other people I can't think of at the moment. I'm drawing a blank on the band name... I think its Serious Black or something like that. Sounds promising.

I did not know who Scott Oliva was so I watched a few youtube videos & I see what you mean..  I like the way he sings "Run To The Hills"  That type of voice would work.

I wonder if  Bob Parduba's names has been brought up in Jag Panzer camp..
