Headbanger, Hamburger, whatever the f*ck. Gimme a break, it's my day off and I'm 9 beers into a 12 pack.
...or maybe I just want a hamburger....

I personally like Lady Gaga is a very talented artist, you don't know what truly awful music is until you've listened to One Direction or Justin Bieber.
I would agree with this; her music isn't my cup o tea but it does have dimensions to it, unlike most of the pop heard these days.
Speaking of this subject, at Amazon, I picked a CD called The Essential NSYNC. Now, is that not an oxymoron?

I used to hate on them and the Backstreet Boys, but I have to say Bieber and One Direction actually made their music sound good by comparison.

Probably, but I would still say that there is nothing about NSUC that is "essential". As for Bibber and Wrong Direction, I have been spared by their poison. None of my nieces or nephews would give them the time of day. All I have to see is their merchandise thrown out everywhere to know to stay away. Oh, speaking of Backdoor Boys, I like it when Weird Al did a parody of one of their songs:
Good ol' Mr. Yankovic! He can salvage any crummy song!

As for the original topic... I like Gaga before & after her explosion. She's a talented performer & a good looking broad.

I don't have much of an opinion on her music, although I do recognize the talent, but I've always thought she's a uniquely good looking woman. I like her features.

No, here's where the pop music sadness sets in:
Remember when the "pop" groups we all hated and made fun of actually SANG their own stuff? I'm sure Pepperidge Farm does, but it's fading fast.

Plenty of people still do, but I don't have any problem with some people using autotune, as long as it sounds good, I really couldn't care less.

Autotune is like dropping the bass. I'm ok when it's a tool used to musical effect.
I don't consider "making a tonedeaf howler monkey with nice boobs" a musical effect. That's a science experiment.
And if ANY experimentation is going to be done on anyone with nice boobs, I prefer it happen behind closed doors. Ideally, that of my bedroom...
Wait, did I type that or just think it...

I certainly wouldn't call her "tonedeaf" in the least.
Oh and that last sentence was TMI.

I was making an attempt at a joke at my own expense...
Gaga may not be tonedeaf, but there's a huge trend towards people who are easy on the eyes being propped up with tech to make up for the fact that about the only thing going for them is the aforesaid "easy on the eyes" factor.
I mean, you're talking to someone who LIKES Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Udo Dirkschneider, etc. as vocalists. I'm not asking for a LOT, but being able to sing without a computer is helpful. I'll make allowances for Stephen Hawking, but that's about where I draw the line.
Case in point for good uses of auto-tune: check out "I am Made of You" by Alice Cooper on Welcome 2 My Nightmare. It's vibey, even creepy sounding and goes with a good song. It's not used elsewhere on the album and is a pretty unexpected touch, like the old "Leslie speaker on the vocals" trick from the 60s/70s. It wasn't used because Alice can't sing or because his material blows goats.

I'm still waiting for someone to do a cover of Bad Romance that fixes the grammatical error (it should be "you and I could write a bad romance"), although I doubt it's ever going to happen.
