The Worst Hagar-era Van Halen record

So which one of the Sammy albums is the worst?

I vote Balance. I suspect that OU812 will pick up a lot of votes though.

All of them. I dig solo Sammy and DLR Van Halen, but both together... not so much

Love Van Hagar.

Since it was an option, I picked Live. Of the studio albums, I'd go for OU812.

I REALLY liked 5150, but the rest not so much. I voted OU812.

I really like the ones I have (all of them but Balance and Live) but I guess the weakest of them would be OU812 with 5150 being the high point.

Balance. I can tolerate OU812 in small batches, 5150 is a big synthesized bore, F.U.C.K. was an awesome return to form, and Live is a decent (though overproduced) set (and it was recorded here in Fresno which is kind of a plus for me). Balance, though, was a major disappointment.

Where's the "All of them" button?

I love Sammy solo and I like most of VH with DLR but somehow the combination of Sammy with VH just leaves me wanting to vomit.  I can't explain it; it's just a visceral reaction I have to any VH song with Sammy on vocals.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I had trouble getting into Balance. I still think it is unfortunately much more listenable than that Cherone album.

But the latest VH is pure magic. What a comeback.

I voted for the live album, as I don't have much use for that. Balance would be next. I like "The Seventh Seal," and "Can't Stop Lovin' You." After the first two tracks though, nothing ever jumps out me. I even find OU812 to be a better overall listening experience.

I would also vote "All Of THem". Just an era of the band I never got into. Unfortunately casting a vote would mean listening to that crap again

Love all VH. I picked Balance simply because it is the one I have that is least listened to. Only played it a couple of times since it's release. Live is pretty bad too. I really love 5150 and OU812.

OU812 by far is the worst Van Hager album

Im a Hagar fanboy so I like them all but Live is my choice. OU812 is my fave even though I feel the production is weak and there's too much synth throughout.

Never got into Van Hagar, so I can't really pick one over any other...

I loved them all. Roth era was just as good as the Hagar era.

All of them. Van Halen is my favorite band, Van Hagar is something I wish I could permanently erase from my memory.

The production on all those albums was top-notch (especially Templeman's work on F.U.C.K.). The songwriting was a different matter for many.
