| I have fanboy'd around the states to see King's X and Saxon, so I will set those aside.
The one that jumps out at me is Deliverance/Believer in a pole barn in Darmstadt, Germany in 1990. I think it even made it onto Believer's home video. That was a cool experience.
Honorable mentions: Stevie Wonder in an amphitheater outside San Fran Cold Chisel in Byron Bay, Australia Dayglo Abortions multiple times in Winnipeg The Fixx in a tiny club in Baltimore Bunji Garlin at a VERY sweaty [105 degrees ++] Carnivale in Trinidad Raw Power in an old movie theater in Portland, OR
Tons more - but that D/B show came out of no where. Just saw a flyer and they happened to be playing that night. Cosmic convergence kinda stuff.

| Rob Rock/Narnia/Once Dead - Switzerland, Elements of Rock (European crowds rule!)
Ted Nugent in Beaver Creek, WI (had full band backstage access and watched the show from the side of the stage and the security pit. Ate dinner with Ted and the band. Shrimp gumbo.)
Twisted Sister (in Tuscon, AZ. On their reunion tour. Went with Randy Michaud. We were right up front against the security rails. I felt like I was a teenager again! Haha!) _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| For me it was seeing Stryper in Seoul in 2011; it was their first show in South Korea since the In God We Trust tour. The performance was great, as usual, and it was cool to see a great turnout of their fans in East Asia. | |

| Good question - lol!!!! I have seen Iron Maiden in 4 countries (Mexico, England, Canada and the good ol USA.) Toronto was fun - good crowd. England was cool, seeing Maiden in the home country.
The stand out had to Mexico City in 2009 - final leg of the Somewhere Back In Time tour, 60k+ people, stadium show - insane....

| Never had the opportunity to see a show outside of my home area (New Jersey/New York). I guess I should've traveled more...
One of my great regrets is not going to a Monsters of Rock festival in Nuremberg when I was in Germany in summer 1987. Unfortunately it was the day before I was due to return to the US, and my buddy and I were afraid that if we risked it we'd end up too broke/lost/hung over to make it back to our home base in Frankfurt to make our flight home.
25+ years later I'm till kicking myself. The lineup was Deep Purple, Dio, Metallica, Ratt, Cinderella, Helloween and Pretty Maids. It would have been epic!! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| KISS wasn't allowed to play Boston Garden at the time - 20 minutes away - that alone gave KISS a mighty tip of the cap - in these parts - Mom, dear angel, drove me and my friend to Providence Rhode Island - and we stayed overnight in a hotel - I owe her big time for that one ! Uncle Saxon - you've been around the block a few times   | |

| In the US, probably White Zombie in Rhode Island. This was before they got huge, and the show was just a bit more intimate. Killer stuff. Plus Nudeswirl opened and blew me away, became one of my all-time favorite bands.
Or maybe it was Angel Corpse at a tiny joint in Arkansas. Not because they were good, but because the "club" was called the Living Room, and it was about that size (just one tiny room), and Angel Corpse were all in leather and ENORMOUS spikes, corpse paint, had a whole lighting rig and fog machines. It was so ridiculous! Haha. Terrible and awesome for the same reasons.
Outside the US, toss up between Devin Townsend in Norwich, England, or Ani DiFranco in Giais, Italy. Pretty sure those are the only two shows I've seen out of country. Both were brilliant shows and the first time I saw each live.

| No metal shows but have seen Styx in Chicago and The Who in The Pontiac Silverdome on row 17. Awesome seats considering the size of the place. I think there may have been close to 70,000 there so it is also the largest show I have been to. Normally don't leave the area so see anything or anyone these days. | |

| I have never seen a show outside of my home base (Pittsburgh area). I did see Ace Frehley/Cinderella about 2 hours from here in Johnstown in the middle of the state. | |

It was together with Ace/Frehley's Comet opening and I believe the year was 1987 since it was the Comet's initial tour and Long Cold Winter was not released yet (though Cinderella did perform some tuns from it)

| And checking it out on www.ace-frehley.com the exact date was July 27,1987 but it mentions Faster P*ssycat there as well and there was no way that band was at that show. | |

Thanks! Very interesting. I remember I had some bootlegs from around that time where they performed a few songs from LCW (I think "Gypsy Road" and maybe "Fallin' Apart At The Seams" or "The Last Mile") but I never knew who was opening for them before the tour for the album started.

| The only concert I've been to outside of the state in which I was currently living was last October to see Gary Numan in Hollywood (I live in Arizona now). I saw him perform at Amoeba Records and then at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. I bought a VIP ticket, so I got to meet him, got my photo taken with him, he signed his autobiography that I brought, I saw part of the sound check, and got up in front for the concert (except a very tall man rushed in front of me which made the concert a little less enjoyable than it could have been). Meeting and talking to Numan and getting my photo with him was the most important part, though. He is very nice and gracious to his fans. | |

| Well, I live in California & have been to few shows in Nevada at Casinos.
So, Pearl Jam & Stepenwolf in Reno. DLR band in Vegas 1999.
I did see a concert at the Quad City fair in Iowa in the late 80's, "Three Dog Night" How metal is that.. But I remember running into people around town (Davenport) who were so excited to have a band play there. We ended up backstage and I swear you would have thought the beatles were playing. Looking out at the sold out crowd of around 6,000 people it was crazy!
It made me realize how lucky I was to live in the bay area where a band was playing almost every night at that time some place close enough to go.

| Iron maiden in paris 1999. Bruce had just returned and the tour was the ed hunter tour so the set list was a stunning collection of greatest hits. I had seen maiden twice before but only with blaze and the ed hunter tour never came to the uk so me and a mate joined the maiden fan club and managed to get a great deal on a package trip to paris. The trip included a night in paris then a coach to holland to watch them the next night in rotterdam. Quality little trip with megadeth supporting.
Saw them again in paris in 2005 on the early years part 1 tour. Another great gig with dream theater and within temptation supporting.

| Compared with everyone else, it's not much of a distance to travel, but I caught Peter Gabriel on his Up tour in D.C., which was a bit of a hike. Great show.
Funny thing, I was REALLY gung-ho to end up front row center. The closest I got was 8 or so rows back and center and it really bummed me out UNTIL I got there and realized that everyone in the front row was craning their neck to see the show because the stage was too close to them and too high up for comfortable viewing. We ended up EXACTLY where the front row should have been and it was superb.

. I have a DVD boot of that gig - looks like it was good one! FC trips are fun - never been on an "official" FC trip (I didn't want ot be stuck on someone else's schedule) , but I have been at FC trips shows (Vegas, DC, FL)
