The very first cassette I ever stole from Woolworths was an ep from a band called Hellcats. I still play the hell out of that album. If you ever want to hear perfect American Rock n Roll with all the clever double entendres - Hellcats is for you! It is Richie Ranno and Michael Smith from Starz, btw [another seriously underrated American GEM!!!].

Like one would expect something from '82 to be bad, lol. Even though, some sources seem to claim this is from '87...Even though it does sound more like '82.

It was '82. They recorded Hellcats II in '87. II was no where near as good and never actually released, except by Richie through the Starz website 20 years later.

Good stuff! I have all the Starz albums and I'll have to add this one to the collection. Looks like the vinyl is cheap to get too.

Hey Witchie-Poo. I have a cd from Richie called "Starz - Back in the Day". It is from 1975, right before they got signed. I'd sell it for 6 or 7 bucks, if you are interested. Fan Club only stuff.

Will definitely check this out later. I love Starz. It's mind-boggling to me that they weren't a multi-platinum band.
