Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this documentary is terrible. I watched it over the weekend. It's a 1:30 running time and there is roughly 15-20 minutes dedicated to the actual music festival itself. The first hour is dedicated to the quaint farming village of Wacken. Seriously, it's just an hour of the residents talking about their daily routines, milking cows, going to church, smoking. And it's all subtitled.
They literally show maybe 5 minutes of actual festival footage. No interviews with band members or fans. After the first hour, they show some of the metalheads coming to town and setting up their tents, but noone is interviewed (where they are from, how long have they been coming, nothing).
It's really boring and somewhat misleading. You learn nothing about the festival, but plenty about dairy farming.
