| I recently received a copy of the new Meliah Rage CD but it wasn't in great shape, SOOO, I decided to look for a cheap copy on Ebay. I found a copy for .99 cents and bid $3.00 (plus $3.50 shipping.) Overall, not a bad deal. However, SILLY EBAY BIDDERS like to spend too much on CDs and push the value up. Somebody overbid me and the bidding is now up to $6.00 plus shipping.
I went over to to Amazon.com and just purchased a new copy outright for $7.
Silly, silly ebay bidders. They get caught up in that 'gotta win' mentality and pay way more for CDs/records than they are worth. This happens to me all the time.

| I cannot believe how bad some people want to win. Some of the time I get a second chance bid. The person wanted to win so bad, guess they realize, cant afford it. |

That has happened me a couple of times too, but it also happens when the seller gets a mate to up the price so he makes more, you look at the winning bidders feedback and you'll very rarely (if at all) see bad feedback from that seller about not being able to pay. |

| I used to buy nearly all my titles from Ebay...LALA has put the whammy to that...Since joining there I have gotten all buta dozen of the rare out of print cds I had been after on Ebay....for $1.75! I have one on the way at the moment that doesn't go for less han $30 hen it turns up.... I do still find the occasional "steal" on ebay, but as you said...it's harder and harder to do. _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"

| I still use Ebay to GREAT effect...I put an $8.00 cap, shipping and all, on what I want UNLESS it's rare and I know it's harder to get. My average $ spent per CD is around $7.50 shipping and all over the last year. You've GOT to be disciplined, though, and bow out when the bidding passes your max and just wait for the next one to come by...... | |

| I have sold a half dozen or so over the last couple of years that have gone for $100.00 each! Who would pay that much for a Ted Nugent cd? I don't know, and I don't care. |

| I remember seeing Vicious Rumors - Digital Dictator go for up to $46.00 at times. I actually got it for $18, bidding on it with less than one minute left. | |

I buy plenty from eBay, but I too, limit my bidding. I rarely have spent over $10 (including shipping) for any single cd. Also, I work at the local sports complex and often get the team giveaways for free (bobbleheads, banners, etc.), which I turn around and sell, then use those profits to buy more cd's. It's practically like getting them for free! | |

No - It's just out of print. there is one on Amazon right now for $70. That is the cheapest I have seen. |

| I use ebay almost exclusively. I put a cap on my spending at $10.00 (including shipping).I'll "waive" the cap if it is a rarity.I think the most I ever paid for a cd was LAAZ ROCKIT-NO STRANGER TO DANGER ($28.50 plus shipping). | |

| A few weeks ago, I won a Beseech cassette demo for $5.50 total. I couldn't believe it! $5.50. Yet, I can bid $10 on a used plastic fork and people get the bid up to $50. It's ridiculous. Personally I think it's the sellers doing it. Let's not pretend like it's hard to create alternate accounts. They're bidding on their own auctions to up the amount. And, of course, eBay doesn't give a crap. There's so much shadiness about eBay these days I'm surprised no one has brought a class action lawsuit against them. |

| i have only ever had one bad experience with an ebay seller. & ebay & paypal made it right with me. 99.7% of the sellers are honest & want return business. like saxon says, what goes around, comes around. most live by this. _________________ | |
