Random Annihilator Thread?

I find myself on an Annihilator kick, which is really unfortunate, because I have most of their essential albums and all that's left to pick up is detritus, essentially.

Anyways, what's your top 5 albums from them/favorite vocalist (they've had quite a few), or your general thoughts about the band.

Here's a few of my favorite songs for aesthetic purpose:

Favorite vocalist is Joe Comeau - that dude is a monster and I wish he would have stayed with the band. My favorite album of theirs is Carnvial Diablos. I am lukewarm on Dave Padden as their vocalist, but it appears he'll be around for the forseeable future. Annihilator needs to tour in the US.

I like Dave best. Favorite albums are the 5 he is on. Any other era of the band has been spotty with me.

I really like Coburn Pharr and Never, Neverland. Haven't heard much outside of that one, which I should remedy.

Rampage. Wish he would have stayed the course. Classic vox.

Voted Padden simply because he sings my fav Annihilator tune, Rage Absolute.

I'll go with Padden. He was a bit iffy at first but I think he's gotten better with each release.

While I'm surprised about the minor affection for Rampage, I will say Padden nailed it on the past two records and is the best thing for today's Annihilator.

{seriously though, no love for Rampage...??}

It took time, but he really did grow on me. I would put him second under Rampage. He also handled the classic tracks well on the bonus disc for Feast.

Comeau hands down.

I thought he was "different" for lack of a better word when he debuted with them. It took awhile to get used to him but each release he got better and better.

I would take Comeau overall, but like I said^^^

Dave is good but he always had this "nu-metal" vibe that I hate.

Best album is never neverland.

Only albums missing in my collection are remains and AIH (always wanted to get this one but I have a best of with most of the songs on it).

Coburn Pharr was great, but my vote goes for Dave Padden.

Comeau, Rampage, Pharr.

Fave CDs would be Carnival, Alice, Neverland, and King of the Kill.

Didn't care much for Padden when I bought "All For You" so I haven't paid 'em much attention since.

He was on all the worst albums!

Really? You think the Padden albums are better than the first two?

Definitely. I was never really into Annihilator, aside from a song here & there, until I heard All For You. I know it's not the popular opinion to have, but it's just how it is for me.

Out of all the Padden albums Metal is the weakest link imo.

Coburn Pharr, with R. Rampage as a close second.

I find metal to be a very good album. Clown parade is an amazing track.

Padden, Randall, Comeau, Rampage, Pharr. Each of the vocalists are different and therefore so are the albums. I like them all I guess for different reasons. Hearing Re-kill upped my opinion of Padden.
