| Not the next concert I am going to but the last one a few weeks ago was BIG time heavy metal (literally)! The Glenn Miller Orchestra! My wife and I went and it was an enjoyable show. Lots of brass instruments and if you tried to carry them all it would indeed be heavy metal. One cool thing was there was a gentleman in the audience that was 94 years old and he saw the original orchestra during WWII before Glenn's death. | |

I'd go to this in a heart beat. Awesome story too. Did he say they they compared to the original orchestra? I'd image it was a lot less tame in the day! | |

There was an intermission and before the second show the band leader got up on stage and had the man stand up. Mentioned he was 94 years old a WWII vet and saw the original orchestra with Glenn when he was overseas. Everyone got up and clapped for the man. I would've liked to talk to the guy but I was in the nosebleeds and he was much closer to the stage. By the time it ended we just wanted to go home because it was a long work day. | |
