The casting choices for this film has caused the biggest instance of "Internet Nerd Rage" I've seen for awhile, I find it supremely entertaining to listen to fanboys whine and cry and bitch.
First there was Ben Affleck being cast as Batman.
Then they cast Israeli model/actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman which pissed off the entire internet because she doesn't have Lynda Carter measurements…thousands of fans who seem completely fixated on breast size (comic book nerds living in their parents basements, probably never touched a real boob).
Gal Gadot:
Then just today we get the announcement for who will play villain Lex Luthor…
…Jesse Eisenberg!
Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Lex Luthor -
In less-controversial casting they chose Liam Neeson to play Albert.
Jesse Eisenberg as Luthor has me scratching my head... very odd choice that doesn't seem to fit the Luthor mold.
For the record, Gal Godot is hot, but I prefer my Wonder Woman to have D cups.....
I predict this movie will either be amazing or a huge Hollywood-sized pile of shit.
FYI - it's Jeremy Irons cast as Alfred not Neeson. If it was Neeson, the plot of the B v S flick would be around Alfred using his previous wartime training to find Batman, who was taken by Superman.....

Ben Affleck? He's okay but I like my Batman to have bigger testicles.

I have always gotten Liam Neeson and Jeremy Irons confused in my head. Oh well.

Jesse Eisenberg seems too young to play Luthor... Bryan Cranston would've been all kinds of awesome.

Michale Keaton played Batman. Ben Affleck seems that type.
Keaton was in - Multiplicity (1996) Johnny Dangerously (1984) Mr. Mom (1983) Night Shift (1982)
Ben Affleck was in some flicks by Silent Bob, and Matt Damon, or something. (yes, I watched him in tons, but have to try to bury him somehow!).
Ben was very cool as Daredevil. Maybe "critics" said he sucked, but I hoped for more Daredevil movies. I did not buy a lot of Daredevil comic books when I was young in the 1970s/80s (compared to Batman or Superman), but the movie satisfied me a LOT ! I don't want him as Batman. Christian Bale has done the best job ever as Batman, I hate reboots!

So, now it's truly a "CO" movie, and not just a MOS sequel...AND the beginnings of the Justice League...nice.

A "CO" movie, like to me it's looking like less of a direct sequel to Man Of Steel, and more like a co-movie with equal parts Batman and Superman...it even appears that Batman's name is first.

Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Ryan Renolds almost becoming the next Highlander (luckily he pulled out of it), Hollywood has really taken the smeg these days. I personally have no problem with these actors, they're good at what they do, however, they are not the right fit for these rolls IMO.

Due to an online leak, the first trailer has been released:
Bad timing, with the awesome Star Wars trailer released yesterday..... looks like more of the last hour of Man Of Steel......

Did you yawn? I did.
I posted that little joke on IMDB and I've already had like 100 angry teenagers accusing me of being a "Marvel fanboy" and that "I wouldn't know a good trailer if DC shoved it up my ass" and other various unintelligent responses.
I love pissing off young, stupid people.

I think they ought to leave the Batman franchise alone for awhile. I am interested in seeing Aquaman and I think Justice League may be interesting although it will be hard shaking the Super Friends image for me.

Well I guess it doesn't look too bad. There's not alot to go by from that trailer though. I'm sure I'll see it eventually but it's not high priority. It doesn't help that I wasn't too thrilled with Man Of Steel, making my expectations low for this.

These are my sentiments, though I could see myself going to see it after the first few weeks. I've never been much of a D.C guy, but I'm really enjoying The Flash right now on the C.W. For a first season, they are hitting on all cylinders! I've been a little disappointed in Arrow, which is in its third season, but it looks like the intensity is going to increase, especially with the crossover special to end the season.

I think what The Flash has done successfully is capture the fun side of comics, providing a contrast to the likes of Gotham and Arrow who have gone for a darker and grittier feel. There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, but there's more to comics than just that.
And how can you not love a show which has this line in it?

Spoiler:
What I love about The Flash is, the show isn't afraid to push the pedal to the metal. With some shows, they like to drag some things out. This show has introduced many villains, they've done a good job with Barry and the building of his abilities, they've hit a home run with the ensemble of characters they've put together. I think the Iris character could be a little better written, but at least she's not the Laurel character from Arrow. I actually think The Flash is pretty dark, especially with the revelations regarding Dr. Harrison Wells, who is played brilliantly by Tom Cavanagh! In my estimation, the Arrow has suffered primarily due to weaker flashbacks this season (compared to the first two seasons), Laurel being more irritating (and not believable as a certain character), transitional shots from one scene to the next, and what seems like a very forced relationship between Felicity and Oliver. I'm not sure why most fans crave for this to happen? It feels gross to me. I've always felt like they've had this more brotherly/sisterly type of relationship and then all of a sudden they were put into this intimate scene. Then again, I feel like it's the same people, who wanted a Jack/Chloe relationship in "24". The only relationship which felt organic was the Sarah/Oliver relationship.
Here's where D.C will ultimately fail. They could care less about continuity and that's what will bite them in the ass. Even though I love Ezra Miller as an actor, this is a total misstep with him playing The Flash. People already see Grant Gustin as The Flash. By the time this movie comes out in 2018, the T.V show, which seems to be beloved, will have four seasons under its belt. I would be shocked if the show wasn't still around by the time the movie comes out. I also don't think those at D.C will be smart enough to include Stephen Amell in its plans on the big screen, which will be a mistake. Though I didn't mind Justin Hartley as the Green Arrow in Smallville, Amell is the Arrow. Having said all that, if Batman vs Superman is a flop, D.C is going to have a hell out of time trying to push the upcoming Aquaman movie or The Flash.

I've heard this is really good, I need to check this out pronto! Not that it's super important, but I heard they at least talk about New York as it pertains to the first Avengers movie. I think this is important only from the standpoint of the whole MCU, as it's rumored that Daredevil will be in the next Captain America movie.
S.D, have you watched The Flash? I think Tom Cavanagh is the reason for my love of this series. He really is an underrated actor. It's not even his lines, but it's his mannerisms which are so good in this show. I suppose the director has a lot to do with that as well.

Daredevil is awesome. I've only caught a few episodes of The Flash but have liked what I've seen. I was an avid watcher of Arrow for the first 3 seasons but I haven't caught any this year. I hope the new season shows up on Netflix soon.
