Disposing of a large part of my cd collection

After much thought, weighing up various alternaives I have decided to reduce my CD collection. I am not sure how many albums yet but I have already decided to sell my death / black and some thrash albums that I don't listen to much anymore.

I am taking a similar approach as DallasBlack. Keeping some that have a sentimental value to me and albums from my top 10 but selling the rest.

I have added a post in the metal market forum and I will continue to add more albums there.

The main reason I am selling these is because we are in the process of moving so I don't want to be a burden on the process. Also I have decided to slow down on buying any more albums. I like the physical format but right now I cannot justify spending hundreds of dollars every month on CDs. I seldom have the time to listen to these and all they do is sit on shelves looking pretty. I have spotify and I am happy with it and the cost is reasonable.

I want to dedicate myself more to my family and to worship. With the money I get off the CDs I want to help renovate our new place and pay some upcoming bills.

I will post a more extensive list shortly.

I have everything you listed so far with exception of the Mayhem Live album, but I don't like live albums. I'll keep checking your thread to see what else you have. You seem to have good taste in music.

I just unloaded close to 300 cds, mostly dupes & stuff I just can't get into. I took them to the only physical record store we have around here. After they refused to buy them, I asked loudly if anyone there liked metal. One guy in the middle of the store throws up the horns. So I gave him the entire box. He almost pissed himself.

And good luck on your selling Alex. I saw your list but nothing interested me on it so far.

Any chance your having a yard sale? I believe you don't live too far from me on the island.

For anyone concern about postage costs - fear not. If shipped without cases the shipping fees are rather low (especially if purchasing a large number of albums). Some albums however I won't be able to ship without cases as they are special editions / digipacks etc but ask me first.
