You could probably add more Thrice to the list - most of the songs on The Alchemy Index Vol II seem to have a sea disaster theme.
And how about Iron Maiden's Ghost of the Navigator?

A few from Marillion
Estonia - about the Estonia ferry disaster in 1994 The Bell in the Sea Out Of This World - this one's about the death of Donald Campbell while trying to break the world water speed record, which might got quite fit but I thought it was worth a mention

Hmmm....the great Abyss seems to be more of a common topic in the metal world than I once believed . *In my best Napoleon Dynamite* "yesssssss!"
That reminds me of a band I forgot: Dagon. I'm sure they have a song or two that will fit.....must research this.

Accept's The Galley from Stalingrad, one of the best songs on the album. Of course it's more about galley slaves but you also get mermaids so that makes it. I believe it's based off of something Richard Kipling wrote.

And I assume that there has to be something somewhere by Amon Amarth, Manowar or Iced Earth that would fit.
Iced Earth has two that are tenuous at best for this topic: Travel in Stygian is about crossing the River Styx and Dragon's Child is about the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Just about anything by Dagon:
May I tell you of my passion of the dead Erotic only in it's subtext Experimental fantasy, realized just recently Gourmets, but only of a subset
Beware ya pauper Likewise ye men of power We hunters roam the sea Seeking whom we may devour Beware ya pauper Likewise ye men of power We hunters roam the sea Seeking whom we may devour
We drifted on Till starvation struck and decency was gone And now we have changed We gleefully embrace a life deranged
The finest wines, like vinegar, fall bitter from my lips Like soot and ash, the choicest roasted game The taste I crave, a scarlet flow in transit to the crypts Each meal I savor had a name
We butcher the flesh of the living To consume the flesh of the dead
Our legend grows as empty vessels drifts into the ports No sign of crew save the blood stains on the deck All men shall quake at the mention of our names A plague in every tongue dialect
We drifted on Till starvation struck and decency was gone And now we have changed We gleefully embrace a life deranged
When winds do blow Cold enough to chill your very soul And when the tempest wails Keep one eye on the sea for scarlet sails
