| I loathe that digipak fold out pyramid thing.
Did this get a release in a standard jewel case? Seriously, why won't artists or companies or whoever realized that digipaks are the worst?

| No. Only the pyramid thing. There was also a vinyl issue. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I've never seen it in anything other than that wacky pyramid digi-pack. That's not to say a jewel-case version doesn't exist. I've seen first edition digipacks get re-issued as standard jewels later down the line. Or sometimes the import version is a standard jewel. You just gotta look around I guess.
As for digi-hatred, I'm right there with you. I hate 'em too. But seeing how more and more releases are coming out in that format, I have to assume it's a cheaper option for the record companies. Plus they can claim they're "going green" by eliminating the plastic waste. Save money and look good in the press. Win-win.
In reality, they're probably worse for the enviroment with all the paper/tree use, toxic printing inks, processing, etc. But that's why they have PR teams that spin it to say that the company is "effectivly reducing our carbon footprint".
Don't look for digi-packs to go away anytime soon. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I do have the vinyl, as well. Got that when it first came out, and recently wanted to add the CD to my collection, for car and iPod use and such.
I guess I've just got to suck it up and deal. Ha. I'm almost tempted to just cut the outer sleeve down to fit in a jewel case, as an act of defiance.

That's a reputable seller. I have used them quite a bit. Thanks, man. I just added that to my watchlist for purchase in the near future. I've bought stuff from that seller too, so I feel confident with them. Plus, I think that should've been the cover for all releases, instead of just part of the inserts. Stoked now.

| I just got the Anomaly CD a couple of months ago (ordered it "used" from Hastings, but it arrived new and sealed - I love when that happens, haha)... and yeah, that fold out cardboard pyramid digi thingy is, hands down, the dumbest f**king gimmick packaging I've ever seen in my life. The only one that comes close is the packaging of Spinal Tap's Back From the Dead, which folds out into a gigantic diorama of the band (in action figure form) on a flaming stage, complete with a Stonehenge... but then, of course that's Spinal Tap all over, i.e. stupid on purpose. Ace's pyramid thingy, on the other hand, is just stupid, period. What is the purpose of that thing? Is it supposed to be some sort of interstellar communications device so you can contact Space Ace on his home planet of "Jendell?" _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Me too As far as the packaging goes, it is weird and difficult... And yet it somehow makes perfect sense that a Frehley album cover would be so. That is one quirky dude.

| Asked around and apparently Seasons of Mist did put out a regular jewel case version of Anomoly.
I purchased my CD directly from Ace Frehley's website so that I could have an autographed copy, so I don't mind the packaging. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

discogs.com/Ace-Frehley-Anomaly/release/4242722 Yeah I have an Argentina-ian copy of Sacred Reich's Surf Nicarauga that I got from the same seller. I have no idea how legit it is, but it looks and sounds fine.

I wouldn't count on it. He's got other finacial problems to deal with at the moment. He's about to lose his house. http://www.blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=186627 _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. http://www.blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=186627 It is mind boggling to me that an original member of KISS would ever have money problems. I don't know what he does with his money or how much Gene may have screwed him in contracts and what not, but damn....I feel like Paul and Gene should just give him some money. I feel like if I was a multi-bagillionaire and one of the guys who helped get me to that status was having problems...I would help him out.
