Subject: Neuronspoiler - EMERGENCE (U.K. Power Metal) Thu May 16, 2013 8:23 am
Anybody heard of these guys? They're a fairly new British band. Their publicist contacted me thru my HubPage blog and sent me a copy of their new album, Emergence. It's melodic power metal with a pretty heavy Helloween/Priest/Maiden influence. (the twin guitar solos are pure Murray/Smith.) Not the most original band to ever come down the pike, but it's catchy stuff with excellent guitar work.
Emergence is their second D.I.Y. release, following an EP from 2009 called No One's Safe.
So what sayest thou, melodic power mettle geeks?

Not my genre of choice these days, but sounds decent enough for what it is. Power metal fans should find something to like about them.

I got this cd through their kickstarter campaign. I expected more to be honest as the EP was definitely stronger and catcher. The cover-art may have influenced me too, as I totally HATE it - a cyber-punk urchin chick taking a dump, wtf?

The singer is too bland, nothing vocally stands out and with this kind of metal that's needed in my world.
