Heard these guys for the first time tonight. They remind me of Solitude Aeturnus, my all-time favorite doom band. The singer's vocals aren't as strong as Robert Lowe's, but few people can sing that well. Either way, solid vocals.
This is a Rise Above/Metal Blade release due on May 28. Looks like they had a previous limited-edition demo of 300. I just downloaded it because I highly doubt I can find a copy to buy.
Anyway, this song is outstanding. If the rest of the album is like this, I'll be damn happy. This is my favorite kind of doom.

I think that next week was the official release date, but Rise Above have been selling the CD for a few days now, no sign of vinyl yet though.

Just bought the CD on auction on eBay £8.20 inc postage! (a fair bit cheaper than Rise Above and without the massive postage costs)
Will let you know what I think when it arrives (been listening to the demo on YouTube and I'm guessing that I'm gonna like it, a lot!)

The demo is good, but it's a lot rawer than this full-length sounds. I prefer the cleaner, heavier tones on the full-length.

Desperate Souls of Tortured Times is one of my top picks of 2013. I really dig this album. bought it on recommendation from this forum. The songs are captivating. Like how every part played supports the song. No rabbit holes or pieces taped together.
