What style of music would you say this band falls into?
What's the Brazilian term for "Godawful?"

Isn't this one of those un-black metal bands? Or should it be un-death metal? In that case, this is life metal!
Btw, Krig is the Norwegian word for War. There is a saying that Black Metal ist Krieg, well this was certainly not!

Well, they have a chick or two in that band, this is the only positive I can think about them

Isn't this the band that the spoofers claimed was Tatesryche on YouTube?

Who are "us"? Surely there aren't many who would prefer this KRIG instead of Queensryche, even if it is the Tate's version... or is it?

The video you posted seems pretty much just death metal. It seems like they are trying to convey a tech edge with their stop/start style, but pretty much just DM. Listening the other song now. Also seems mostly DM. They seem to like that stop/start thing with muted riffs that is somewhat technical I guess, but they mix in enough other stuff and soloing to keep it from being entirely rhythmic like Meshuggah. They do seem to be going for a slight tech/prog and even avant guard style.
Not too bad. I would have to listen to more to see if I actually like them, but they seem worth trying.

I just shared a few of Krig's albums with my friend Bob (bgast1). I like them, but I'm not surprised that the people here prefer Queensryche. Not that I understand the comparison.

That song says Queensryche but trust me it isn't.
I don't like Queensryche but I listen to it over Krig as I really don't get Death Metal.
I have a great love of stuff from Brazil. So I was kinda expecting something else than this. Musically it was fine, but I can't imagine a whole album with those vocals holding my interest. I'd need a bit more variation.

Yeah, the vocals are not immediately appealing to me either, but sometimes vocals can grow on you, and sometimes the music is good enough to overcome some vocals. Not enough exposure to this band yet to know for myself.

I have one of their CDs. I'll need to give it more spin time.

It'll help if you listen to it when you are in the mood for proggy death metal. It's actually well executed stuff.
Seriously, though, I like this but the "vocalist" has to develop a better growl. Sounds like an eternal belch. Music is pretty intricate for the most part.
