That was just a special appearance that he did at the Keep It True festival. I don't think he's actually ever been in Vicious Rumors.

For those who doesn't understand the difference between power metal and heavy metal, THIS IS IT!!!! Listen to the track, I Am The Gun, over and over and over! It's def. heavier than traditional metal, ala Judas Priest, Saxon and Iron Maiden, but not as heavy or fast as thrash, ala (early) Metallica, Overkill and Slayer.

I'm looking forward to this album!

Also tr0000 USPM will have lots of minor key guitar lines and Mercyful Fate inspired vocal bits here and there so that manly metalheads know it's definitely tr000 and not and happy.

The new song is intense, but doesn't have that hook, that something special their earlier records had, although I admit being a huge fan of the first album with Vinnie Moore and Gary St. Pierre. That's what made me a VR fan. I liked Warball for Rivera, but didn't really enjoy it as much as Soldiers Of The Night & Digital Dictator. Of course, I still prefer the 80's metal sound and feel.

The new album is really good. "I Am The Gun" may not have been best choice for first song, but it sounds like classic VR so that's all that matters in the end, really.

Also, Kevin Albert did a great job on "Abandoned"...

Shawn, how are the dynamics? Some samples i've heard seem to have gone the way of the loudness wars but I can't really tell.

I wasn't asked, but I think it's a good sounding record.

I am the wrong guy to ask about this kind of stuff.

I hate when people get on these audiophile tangents...it sounds good to me....that's all I care about.

I don't usually worry too much about it but I noticed when I turned up a couple tunes they sound kind of fuzzy. I'll wait and see.
