| I know many people cherish the classic 1970's live albums and according to the Worst Live Albums discussion, most people seem to not care for more recent live recordings. What are some more recent live albums that your WOULD recommend?
Two I recent purchased that I would HIGHLY recommend are: HEAVEN & HELL - Live from Radio City Music Hall 2007 (Rhino) 2007 BLACK SABBATH - Live At the Hammersmith Odeon (Rhino) 2007 | |

| Yeah, the new HEAVEN AND HELL is pretty cool. TESTAMENT's "Live in London" is good too. | |

| I really liked Iron Maiden's Rock In Rio live album. Also, I enjoyed Grave Digger - 25 to Live. |

| Not sure that it would fall in the GREAT category, but the 2 disc live set As Live As It Gets from Blaze Bayley is a pretty good listen. It covers tunes from his 1st two solo albums as well as Maiden and a Wolfsbane song or 2. It's a nice overview of his career and the sound quality is good.

| The Life Of Agony live CD/DVD released like two years ago is killer! Of course, you have to like Life Of Agony. Haha. Still, I'm no big fan of live albums, but this one in particular just gave me goose bumps. Keith Caputo is such an amazing vocalist. |

Oh yea, no doubt DOUBLE LIVE ASSASSINS smokes IN THE RAW. IN THE RAW sounds like it was recorded in a big soup bowl, there's so much echo!!! The cool thing about DOUBLE LIVE ASSASSINS is that I actually like the "live" renditions of the K.F.D. stuff better than the studio versions...I didn't like the K.F.D. album much at all but the tunes sound superior on D.L.A. cuz they don't sound as artificial/processed

| [quote="spectrefate"]I really liked Iron Maiden's Rock In Rio live album. Great album, not as good as live after death, but LAD is one of my favorite live albums of all time - bought the vinyl the day it came out. I love Bruce singing the blaze songs, just goes to show the Blaze was the wrong singer for Maiden KISS Alive 4 has a good sound - I like it, but wish they included more songs I have a great "unoffical" bootleg of Maiden's A Matter OF Life & Death tour - it's good - a show in Sweeden that was taped and aired on the radio in Sweeden, good sound quality, mistakes (dropped mics, etc) left in, no over dubs | |

| Maiden's ROCK IN RIO is worth having just to hear Bruce totally owning "The Clansman" from VIRTUAL XI. What a difference a change in vocalists makes!! His version turned that song from a fair-to-middling Maiden track to an all time classic in my book.
