Timo Tolkki's Avalon - The Land of New Hope

Great album and all the Timo talk about unmemorable riffs? Being a guitar player for almost 20 years this guy is on par with anyone in the same genre. Stratovarius isn't about the riffs as much as it is the songwriting and moods.

Very good album, yeah. It's unfortunate that his strange behavior over the years has sort of tarnished his name, which then of course sways people's judgment of his music. This album is by no means groundbreaking, but considering how well respected Timo once was, it's should be receiving a lot more praise.

And like I said on the previous page, the Symfonia album is excellent.
