So a number of years ago I got into the Brazilian thrash band Scars. From them I was introduced to some other bands from that region. One band was Reckoning, and I was able to score their their excellent four-song EP, Weakness Sows Its Seeds.
(Also the title of a song from Brainstorm's Metus Mortis.)
It's a great little EP. The singer really reminded me of Bruce Dickinson. I thought they'd broken up, though. But a song came on the other day, so I checked up on them. Looks like they changed their name to Painside.
(Also a song title from Brainstorm's Liquid Monster. I think someone in the band is a big fan.)
Anyway, they are a really good heavy/power metal band. The singer sounds less like Dickinson on this album, but you can still hear it at times. I think some of you might dig them.
Can be had for a fair price on Amazon.

And these are new songs from an upcoming EP. I think.
Great stuff, but sounds a bit more modern.
