| I'm of the understanding that there was a Fozzy EP released at this time, although in Japan only, it's no wonder it didn't make the list. | |

| Damn there were a lot of great releases that year. - Quote :
- Kick Axe - Vices
Reminds me I needed to include that one in the Regrets thread. Had the opportunity and let it go for some other lucky Kick Axe fan to grab.

wasn't that part of the parody story in the liner notes, like Spinal Tap?

| I always thought Heavy Metal Maniac was a MUCH better record than Violence & Force. Just more energetic, raw and in your face. I never thought V&F had quite the same impact.
Heavy Metal Maniac was actually a demo recording that the band wanted to re-record, but the record label liked the demo so much they released it as is. Excellent choice, that.

Because it's at the top of the list, I spotted an alltime favorite album right away: _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

To this day I've never heard Heavy Metal Maniac, it didn't get a U.K release and I didn't like them enough to try to get it on import. When you look at the records that were released that year, it's easy to see why Exciter didn't hold my attention for too long (Mercyful Fate - Don't Break the Oath, another MFN album from that year that I didn't even mention!!)

That's something I didn't know! I always rated the two about the same, both classics
