- X-Sinner - Get It
X-Sinner - Peace Treaty Me too. I bought both on cassette when they were new cuz I didn't have a CD player yet at the time. I have CD-Rs of both now, but haven't seen an "actual" CD of either one in.... shoot, probably 20 years. They're my Holy Grails.
The last time I saw a Get It in a used CD store (a very long time ago) I stupidly left it behind because "my tape is still in good condition." D'OH! If only I had known. Sometimes I wish I could reach back in time and slap my younger self. (It was the variant A&M Records version w/just the logo on the cover, too, not the more common "band photo" one... arrrrgh!)
A couple of years ago I was rootin' through a box of CDs at a thrift store and suddenly I saw a Pakaderm Records logo peeking up at me from out of the heap...my heart actually skipped a beat like "YES! Could it be....?" It turned out to be Lofcaudio by Mastedon. Close but no cigar!! It may not have been what I was hoping for, but it was an interesting (and collectible) find so I grabbed it anyway. The hunt for those X-Sinner discs goes on!! I had Peace Treaty back in highschool on Cd and Get It on cassette. I saw an immaculate copy of Get It in august in a big city record store but they wanted $40 for it. A little above my price range. I ended up buying bot off of iTunes but I want the physical disc. Pretty much anything that Pakaderm put out is on my want list. Or Legend Seven, Ken Tamplin, Believer's Extraction, and the list goes on and on.

Now of course, as I'm so fond of saying, I wish I could go back in time and slap my younger self. What's on that? It's a 7 inch that pre-dates the Fistful of Metal LP, with "Soldiers of Metal" on one side and "Howling Furies" on the flip. Both songs ended up on Fistful of course, but I believe these were alternate/demo versions. Even if they're the same as the album versions, it still would have been a cool little geek collectible to have. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Dang. After all these years of searching, if I found a copy of that one for $40 I'd gladly pay it, even though my wife would probably staple my nuts to my forehead. ("You paid HOW MUCH? For a freakin' CD?") _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I can't remember if the Fistful versions are newly recorded or not. So it's easy to get the songs. Just not easy to get the piece of wax that introduced them to the world, which is the real treasure of that record, I think.

Now of course, as I'm so fond of saying, I wish I could go back in time and slap my younger self. What's on that? It was my introduction to the band. They were a local band at the time and this single came out and blew us all away. The 45rpm single had "Soldiers of Metal" on the A side and "Howling Furies" on the B side. Both songs are different versions than the ones recorded for Fistful of Metal. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

Weren't those two songs tacked on the end of Armed & Dangerous as bonus tracks? Going off my not-so-great memory here. |

One of my favorite scores from gohastings was during a buy five for twenty-five dollars sale. For some unkown reason even the higher end stuff was part of the sale. Scored Peace Treaty and Get It for little more than five a piece. Made out like a bandit on that deal.

- Spirit Caravan - Jug Fulla Sun
The only SC album I'm missing, but it goes for stupid amounts.
Trouble - s/t Same thing as above. I have a download for now, but I want the real-deal.
Early Slough Feg albums. Back when they were known as "The Lord Weird Slogh Feg". Those albums tend to be more rare and expensive.
Blood of the Sun - Death Ride This is a recent addition. All 4 of their albums are on the pricier side, but that one in particular seems to go higher than the rest.
Hellacopters - Super Sh*tty to the Max Their debut. Like Spirit Caravan & Trouble, it's the last peice of the puzzle, but too expensive.
Paul Gilbert - a bunch of 'em. I'm slowly filling the gaps in my collection of his solo output, but his stuff can get a little pricey. Thankfully, I got a buddy that ripped me some cdrs till I can track down the originals
The majority of my 100+ want-list isn't all that expensive or rare, I'm just too cheap. I try to stay under my $10 spending cap as much as possible. The early Slough Feg albums are going to be re-issued by Metal Blade next week in a 3 cd set.

| Cool. I'll keep an eye out for that. If I read it correctly, it's 3 albums I need...
Down Among the Deadmen Traveller Twilight of the Idols
Amazon lists it for $27.99 _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Most of my rarish wants are old vinyl that I've stupidly sold, swapped or given away over the years. There's not that much that I want now as I've been getting a lot back over the last five or so years.
But...
Trouble - The Skull Angel Dust - Into the Dark Past Deathrow - Satan's Gift (Just for the cover and to complete the set as I have Riders of Doom) Razor - Executioners Song
There are far more Electronica records that I want but can't afford to be honest.
