| I'm not talking about the stuff you want, because you dig the band, and you can get it for $10 on Amazon whenever you get around to it.
I'm talking about the discs you covet, but just can't seem to find. Or if you do, they are ridiculously priced.
Right at the top for me is Killer Dwarfs' Stand Tall. I love this record. I had the cassette. And several years ago I saw the CD for $4 in a used bin. At the time I A) did not know how hard it would be to find the disc again and B) had the cassette--I was 100% opposed to doubling up at the time..felt the money would be better spent elsewhere. Well...soon after, my tape died. And I then discovered how incredibly hard it was going to be to get this CD.
Blue Cheer also has a few albums that are too hard to find, or too expensive if you do...so I know that collection may never be complete.

| Lucifer's Friend - S/T; Banquet; Where the Groupies Killed the Blues.
I could possibly find those on vinyl, but I don't have a record player.
Oh, and Sortilege's Metamorphose, Fifth Angel's two albums, and Budgie's first 7 or so records would be up there too.

| Shy's "Brave the Storm". The cheapest CDs of this I've seen are new Japanese imports. The others are in or near 3 figures. | |

| Yesterday and Today- Struck Down, have it on vinyl but want a CD version of it and do not want it paired with the debut album since I already own their self titled album on CD as a stand alone album.
AC/DC- High Voltage- Aussie version on CD and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap Aussie version of the album on CD

| I saw this thread and realized that I actually don't have a want list anymore. If I see something I like and I can afford it I'll buy it, but I'm not really coveting anything in particular. It's refreshing to be honest.

I've thought about trying to do a complete Metal Blade run before, too. It seems like a daunting task to start, but maybe at some point. At least the vast majority of their output up to a point is good stuff.

The problem with a few of mine is that they didn't press tooo many copies in the first place. _________________

- X-Sinner - Get It
X-Sinner - Peace Treaty Me too. I bought both on cassette when they were new cuz I didn't have a CD player yet at the time. I have CD-Rs of both now, but haven't seen an "actual" CD of either one in.... shoot, probably 20 years. They're my Holy Grails. The last time I saw a Get It in a used CD store (a very long time ago) I stupidly left it behind because "my tape is still in good condition." D'OH! If only I had known. Sometimes I wish I could reach back in time and slap my younger self. (It was the variant A&M Records version w/just the logo on the cover, too, not the more common "band photo" one... arrrrgh!) A couple of years ago I was rootin' through a box of CDs at a thrift store and suddenly I saw a Pakaderm Records logo peeking up at me from out of the heap...my heart actually skipped a beat like "YES! Could it be....?" It turned out to be Lofcaudio by Mastedon. Close but no cigar!! It may not have been what I was hoping for, but it was an interesting (and collectible) find so I grabbed it anyway. The hunt for those X-Sinner discs goes on!! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Spirit Caravan - Jug Fulla Sun The only SC album I'm missing, but it goes for stupid amounts.
Trouble - s/t Same thing as above. I have a download for now, but I want the real-deal.
Early Slough Feg albums. Back when they were known as "The Lord Weird Slogh Feg". Those albums tend to be more rare and expensive.
Blood of the Sun - Death Ride This is a recent addition. All 4 of their albums are on the pricier side, but that one in particular seems to go higher than the rest.
Hellacopters - Super Sh*tty to the Max Their debut. Like Spirit Caravan & Trouble, it's the last peice of the puzzle, but too expensive.
Paul Gilbert - a bunch of 'em. I'm slowly filling the gaps in my collection of his solo output, but his stuff can get a little pricey. Thankfully, I got a buddy that ripped me some cdrs till I can track down the originals
The majority of my 100+ want-list isn't all that expensive or rare, I'm just too cheap. I try to stay under my $10 spending cap as much as possible. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. You did buy "The Last Embrace", right? Yup. I have the Dreamwheel ep and Elusive Truth as well. Is there anything else I'm missing besides Jug? There's no live albums is there? _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. No. I was just checking because Jug Fulla Sun is included on The Last Embrace, so you already have the music, you just don't have the packaging. |

No sh*t?!? I had no idea. If that's that case, I can scratch Jug Fulla Sun off my list. I thought Last Embrace was an "odds n' sods" sorta release, just a collection of leftover tracks, b-sides & whatnot. Since I've never actually seen a real copy of Jug, I just put it on the list of "Buy Everything Wino Weinrich Is Associated With". Thanks! _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| The Last Embrace also includes the complete Elusive Truth album. All you need to have the complete collection is The Last Embrace, the Dreamwheel EP and the "Sucking in the 70s" collection to get their Black Sabbath cover.
