| Okay cool. I was just worried that there was a cool sleeve I was going to have to track down for it. The art on it is amazing. Funny thing is I wasn't always big on the early Voivod stuff but giving this a listen has caused me to reconsider. It's pretty killer. | |

| I've been getting into 10" mini LP's the last year or two, besides collecting 7" EP's+singles. Not going to mention the bands as it's all thrash/black metal bands I haven't seen mentioned here. I was digging it that the 10 inch was reminding me of the 1960s EP's that came out, but now that I learned they are just 12" records that afterward get CUT DOWN to size, I wonder about it all, including the sound quality. I had some lengthy 7" singles when I grew up, like QUEEN's Bohemian Rhapsody (6 minutes?), and now a 10" is what I guess usually 7 to 10 minutes long? If this novelty factor is just a scam when bands could be releasing a double-7" instead ... I had a 1980s Ramones dbl-7" single with Street Fighting Man, it had a cool gatefold cover in only blue and black ink, (would have been nice if it wasn't played a million tim,es before I got it from a used record store ) | |

| Robin Trower for 99 cents! Woo-hoo! And The Beatles "Love" sealed for 20 something bucks. A great album if you like The Beatles, it plays like a Pink Floyd album. | |

I really, really miss Dimple Records....really ! Great album by the way Dimple has proven itself to be far worthy of almost every other record store chain here on the West Coast, except the one time Amoeba and I met was love at first sight. Anyway I love working up in Sac just so I can go to Dimple afterwards and raid their vinyl. Now if they could just have a 1 buck CD bin (for albums that aren't missing their artwork, that is).

I don't know about the other Amoeba locations but I find the one in Hollywood to be less than great on vinyl. On movies also. Still love Amoeba but to me they are a CD (and occasional book or two) shop. Hit up Rockaway Records (in LA) if you want a killer dollar bin. Some new, some old, and not the usual fonder either. It's also cool because it's all on the floor so you have to be nimble and willing to root through rows of the stuff. That's the way a dollar bin should be!

Rockaway was a good experience too; I should go back at some point. The only Amoeba I've been to is in Berkeley back in the '01 or '02 and I ate up a ton of great shit. Not sure what it's like now. I recently tried Half-Price books which was interesting because the selection was small (read: one short aisle) but the dollar items were incredible finds on both CD and vinyl.

There is nothing better in music buying than a bountiful dollar bin.

| Man Shawn you are building a heck of a vinyl collection. Let me know if you ever run across a cheap, good copy of High n Dry. I'm on the lookout. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!
