I still haven't warmed-up to The Sword's last release. That and Grand Magus were 2 of the bigger disappointments for me. I really, really wanted to like both of them, but they came off as "meh".
Accept, Testament and Overkill were all good, but that wasn't anything surprising. Overkill has always been quality. And Accept struck oil with Blood of Nations, so it was no surprise that they didn't tinker with that formula. Kinda of felt that way with Testament too. All 3 gave the fans what they wanted, so how could I complain?
The only other one on your list that I've heard and agree with whole heartedly is Van Halen. It could have been lame, but they pulled it off nicely. Old songs or not.
I was hoping that seeing Gypsyhawk live would fire me up enough to get the album, but that didn't happen. They were ok, but nothing that scorched my shorts.
I still need to pick up that new Cauldron. Maybe the UKJ too.
The Chris Holmes track? It started off nice enough, but then he opens his mouth and you're left saying "What the f**k is this?" Among the many, many things wrong with that video, why is he shot in front of a green screen? Isn't the idea supposed to be that you don't see that? Drop in some random video footage back there or something. Anything. Woof. It's just pathetic.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.
