Just not my thing, to me it's an exclusive genre you have to be accepted in!
You mean like heavy metal?
No not like metal it's like it takes a long time for any country bands to actually get heard
Hold on, you never mentioned anything about bands. You were saying that you would never buy anything Country music again, due to its exclusivity and the fact that one fights for acceptance. Which then translates to the Country music community non acceptance of outsiders.
I'm just going by what was written. Are you condemning the Country music community because they're not tolerant towards those who are trying to get into country music and don't have that country gene already in them? If so, I think every genre is guilty of that.
This isn't quoted from anyone it is just my opinion, when I did buy from places that sold cds it seemed to me the country music section never got any bigger everytime I went in them.

Look up outlaw country and go from there. Waylon Jennings and Cash are shoo ins, Gary Allan has some of that sound and Dwight Yoakam is very good.

=gets on soapbox= I started this thread because this was a genre of music that =I= was interested in, Who cares if a music store's selection hasnt grown guess what i can say the same thing for Heavy Metal, Rock, Pop, etc... if you guys wanna discuss or bash country do it elsewhere I hate having to read through the clutter to get what im looking for in this thread...Im saying this because frankly I am annoyed , you dont see me going into every single thread of a band i dont like or care for or a genre thread giving my opinion do I? No, If its something that isnt my thing I use some restraint and leave the thread alone...... =gets off soapbox=
To everybody who's given me input thank you very much Im gonna have to do some you-tub-ing hehe not sure what to find that ill like or not. But ive been a little curious in the last few months.

That reminds me of the time I tried to by a Pepsi and I put my coins in the machine and pushed the button but didn't get a Pepsi. Man, what a corker of a day that was!!

"The Blue Ridge Rangers" album by John Fogerty is good as well. I really dig his take on some of the old Western tunes but the old Southern Gospel songs aren't my bag. Stay away from "The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again".
