How is Banshee - Mindslave?

This U.S. power/traditional metal band released a very good EP in the late 1980s called Cry in the Night, which reminds me a lot of Power Metal-era Pantera.

Apparently, they're back with a new album called Mindslave. Anyone heard it, and is it any good?

It's a decent album, I just cannot get myself spending $15 on pro-printed CDR...

The samples sound alright. I'm a big fan of their first two albums. I may just go the download route with this latest one and save five bucks if it is a CDR. I'm actually more tempted to pick up Cry In The Night from their site than I am the new stuff to be honest. Also will probably pick up that Banshee beanie since I always dug their logo.

Unless something has changed, which I doubt, all cds on their webstore are pro-printed CDRs...

Nothing's changed. A friend of mine recently ordered them and said they all were pro-printed cd-r's.

Always liked their sound,especially the vocals. Race Against Time is a very good album

I bought the CDs from them directly and they are all silver CDs and not CDRs. I don't have Mindslave though but the clips I heard sounded decent.

They are cdrs dude, pro-printed, but still cdrs...

I bought one of them from CDBaby and they advertise it as a CD not a CDR. I thought CDRs were blue and these are silver. Are there silver CDRs now?

Well, it's probably that they are self released.

Mindslave really is an amazing album. It doesn't sound much like classic Banshee, and if I'm not mistaken it has only one original member, but boy the songs are tight. Heavy melodic groove like RF said in his video. Kind of has the flavor of MK II Angel Dust. Everyone here would enjoy it.
