| For the longest time I wouldn't give the Tony Martin version of Black Sabbath a chance. About ten years ago I discovered them , and now regret my closed mindedness. I do wish they hadn't used the Sabbath name, but still a great band. My ranking...
1. Eternal Idol (an essential classic for me) 2. Tyr (grew on me- Valhalla suite- yeah!) 3. Headless Cross (keyboardy, but good) 4. Forbidden (hit & miss, but a couple of great epics) 5. Cross Purposes (It's good, but I'm still learning to love it.)

| I love this version of Sabbath. This mark of the band are very underrated IMO. I love the TYR album and Headless Cross the most. | |

| Yeah i also didn't give Martin a chance until years after he left the band and i missed out on some good stuff for a long time. I like Cross Purposes the best. | |

| I like the Martin-era stuff, but nothing beats the Dio and Gillan stuff IMO. There really isn't a Sabbath albums I don't enjoy. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| They should've done more albums with Gillan. | |

| Black Sabbath is my favourite band... my top 10 goes not in a cemented order.
1. Heaven and Hell 2. Born Again 3. Black Sabbath 4. Dehumanizer 5. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath 6. The Mob Rules 7. Paranoid 8. Cross Purposes 9. The Eternal Idol 10. Master of Reality
After that, I really can't rank.

| I like Martin era Sabbath, have em all except eternal idol and tyr, once I find those at a good price I will get em. Headless Cross is my favorite of what I have, Kill in the Spirit World is a killer song! |

| It took me a while to get into the Martin era Sabbath, but now I love them. Eternal Idol is a great album. | |

| So with an Ozzy reunion, a Dio reunion, is a Tony Martin reunion up next? Probably not but it is a nice thought. |

| I like almost every Sabbath album ever made except 2 of them. Those 2 being Technical Ecstacy and Forbidden. Every other album os simply genius to me. My favorite Tony Martin era album is Cross Purposes followed by Headless Cross. | |

| What's he doing now? I have a few of his projects over the years. The all-star AOR project Forcefield II was ok but lite. The Cage with Dario Mollo was pretty good. The last Martin solo album I got was traded though. I'd love to see a version of that Sabbath band tour. They could concentrate on their own material as "Heaven & Hell" did; rather than have to play the obligitory Ozzy classics like they always used to. Hard to imagine enough demand for that though. | |

| "Evil Eye" on Cross Purposes is probably one of the better Martin-era offerings. |

| Tyr and Headless Cross are my favourites. He is now in EMPIRE, with Rolf Munkes and Neil Murray. | |

I always thought this would be cool. Too bad Tony's not that well known to bring any attention for a reunion.

| Martin is also my favorite Sabbath era only because the Dio and Gillan eras were too short. Shhhh......don't tell anyone but my favorite 80's Sabbath album is Seventh Star. I thought Glenn Hughes did an awesome job with the un-Sabbath-like material. |
