Axl Rose to Appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Axl Rose has agreed to a very rare television interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote the upcoming Guns N' Roses shows at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The "Appetite for Democracy" shows begin October 31st and run for 12 dates through November 24th.

Axl will appear on the show on Wednesday, October 24th. As is customary with the Kimmel show, the interview will be broadcast on a one-hour tape delay.

In other news, Jimmy Kimmel Live will be airing 3 - 5 hours late on 10/24/12. Viewers are expected to stay glued to their TV sets and wait until Axl allows Jimmy to start the show.

I saw signs all over Vegas for these shows. Wonder when they will be cancelled or delayed?

I've never watched Kimmel's show (too late for me), but I'll record it for later viewing. You know if anything remotely interesting happens during the interview, it'll be all over the web within minutes anyway.

I don't know who Jimmy Kimmel is but it's interesting that Axl agreed to a public interview. For the past 15 years he has made a good job of hiding himself - except the few times he shows up on the mygnr forum in 2008.
It could be interesting, especially if it's more than what i expect: Just a hype for Chinese Democracy and the launch of the music video for Better (yes, after 4 years they managed to make a video, even though they released that song as a single back in 2008 )

Axl sat down for an interview with "That Metal Show" about a year ago.

Dude, that man's ego is really pissing me off.

I am sure he will have a list of questions and subjects that he cannot bring up to Axl

It was a controlled atmosphere. It was the first time and most likely the last time we'll see an interview where the individual said: "You have to come to me, because I'm not coming to L.A to do your show". There's a reason people think Axl is a narcissist. I'm sure he also outlined a number of questions before hand that could not be asked.

I'd bet money the same thing will apply with Jimmy Kimmel. Axl's people will make sure Jimmy has a list of topics and questions that are "off-limits". As closed off as he seemed on 'That Metal Show', I have a feeling we'll get even less from this Kimmel appearance. Those late night talk shows are generally puff-pieces anyway. Noone gets put on the spot. Axl's supposedly only doing it to promote a week's worth of shows in Vegas.

Is that a record? Longest time frame in between an album's release and a song off of that album having a music video made for it?
