I'm taking my Dad to PA. next week to see his uncle he hasn't seen in 40 years. I know somebody on here is from that area, what are the must see attractions between Lancaster & Philly?? Have no plans at this moment so I'm game for just about anything!

The Phillies are in town for their last homestand of the season. Even though their post-season chances are fading fast, the team has been on a tear lately. And Citizen's Bank Park is a really nice stadium if you're a baseball fan.

Or stop by the Wells Fargo Center across the street and meet the legendary MetalGuy71 for a guided tour of the facility where hockey won't be played this season. I'll show you where I goof off most of the day and the best toilets to use. I'll have to request no pics be taken though. I prefer to remain annoyomous. And my neck goiter doesn't photgraph well.

The Eagles are out of town this week, but Michael Vick can probably tell you where to find a good dog-fighting venue.

If you make it downtown, go to Jim's Steaks on South Street for the best cheese steaks. Others might say Geno's, Pat's Steaks or Tony Luke's, but they're nitwits. Jim's is the best. However, if you go to Geno's, speak with a funny accent when ordering and see what happens.

If you're a history buff, Philly has lots to offer. Independence Hall, Betsy Ross's house, the Liberty Bell, various pubs that Ben Franklin got drunk in or the Constitution Center. Thomas Jefferson banged slaves there. (citation needed)

You want a lap-dance and over-priced lite beer? We've got you covered. Philly has plenty of Gentlemen's Clubs in the area. Topless or all-nude. You decide. Classy or sleazy. We've got it all. The all-nude places can't legally sell alcohol though, so it's BYOB. The "topless" places have to cover their nipples. "The Man" says that beer and visable nipples are a dangerous combination. Handys in the Champagne Room are ok though.

You want to go shopping? Visit the Franklin Mills Outlet Mall. Lotsa brand name stores at rock-bottom prices. The FYE there is pretty big and I've found some decent stuff in their used section.

Hope that helps. Enjoy your stay. Wipe your feet before entering and have your shot records up-to-date. Don't touch the homeless.

come to Delaware! Tax free shopping and the Delaware Children's museum is enough to keep most people on this board amused for days.

Thanks Metalguy, I just spit beer all over the computer. I might just take you up on that, If they tell you a fat dude is hollering your name, you'll know who it is!! I have a built in accent, good ole Louisiana redneck. It comes in handy in Boston, all I have to do is walk in a bar & tell the locals where I'm from & tell coonass stories & they will buy me beer all day! Exact, I'm sure we'll wind up in Wilmington at some point! Down is playing in Philly Wed. night, Might just go!
