New Pride Of Lions September 25th

I know a few people here are familiar with this stellar melodic hard rock band (especially Exact who introduced me to them). Unfortunatly, much of their catalouge is pricey but I was able to get the self titled at a good price. They have a new one that will be availiable on the 25th of this month:

Knowing there is a new one comming out will allow me to get it before it goes up in price like the others. Anybody else besides me and Exact looking forward to this release?

I ordered an album by this band by accident once. Man was i disappointed when this bland AOR or whatever it`s called, album shoved up in the mail. Hate the style and only played it half way through.
The band i thought i had ordered was Lion`s Pride btw....

Any replies from AOR fans?

I really on the fence on this one. I really love the S/T and Roaring of Dreams but the clips i have heard of the new sound really bland. Toby Hitchcock's solo cd seems a lot better than the forthcoming PoL.

I will give it a try. I really like their s/t and Toby Hitchcock's solo album. I think it will be worth a listen and since it's on Frontiers, it should be on Spotify

Toby's S/T blows this one out of the water from what i have heard so far.

Can't say i'm that impressed with the first single. The song isn't bad but I don't really like the lyrics.

Toby is a great singer...and I love Peterik's work in Survivor...but for some reason, Pride Of Lions has never clicked with me.

me neither. It just sounds flat.

Fairly average I agree, though really not that bad and a lot of MHR/AOR bands don't pick the best songs for their singles these days IMO. My main interest lies in the fact that apart from the debut, the other two are quite expensive and if I can get this before the price goes up like the others I want the opportunity.

Yeah, this album was tad bland. Not bad, yet nothing super memorable. I chalk this up to a dissapointment with the new Sunstorm. Luckily this year have enough good MHR albums to make up for it (Hardline, H.E.A.T., Unisonic, Trixter, Jimi Jamison, Jeff Scott Soto, and Gotthard). Speaking of which, If you AOR fans haven't gotten it yet, I highly recommend Jimi Jamison's new album. It has potential to be my top album this year.

I'll have to check it out. I have Crossroad Moment and When Love Comes Down and really enjoy them.
