I could've sworn you didn't like these guys at all. Not a fan. That post is cut and pasted from a friend and I figured some people here were fans and would like to know about these releases. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

Will check them out on you tube. That's because they never really tripped my trigger. I've owned almost all their albums but couldn't get into them and traded them off. I never could understand how they were labeled goth metal when the guitars were just a background instrument behind samples, keyboards and vocals. There's nothing metal about them. SM for the most part are goth, and at times, just soundtrack music IMO. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| The debut Saviour Machine album is fantastic!!
After that, they got a little too epic and grandiose for me... _________________ FINAL SIGN

SM for the most part are goth, and at times, just soundtrack music IMO. I'll agree. However, I recently got their demos (special reissue) and the guitars are much more prominent in them and reminded me a lot of late 70s metal/hard rock. It would have been nice had they kept that aspect with their music. Most people who liked the older stuff seemed to have lost interest in them with Legacy II but they don't realize that it was a more experemental one and the purpose of it was to represent the chaos and somberness of the apocalypse. Legend III: I was much more song oriented and the guitars were brought up more upfront (but that was probably due to the involvement of Narnia's Carl Johan Grimmark). Legend III: II has still yet to see the light of day (though there is a forgery going around) due to Eric Clayton's health and financial problems. He apparently is getting a little better and still hopes to finish and release it someday.

| I liked S.M.'s first album, it's weird but cool. What little I've heard beyond that one was a wee bit too "out there" for me... _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

http://www.saviourmachine.com/ Well, that was interesting. Didn't read it all, but to be honest, I only enjoyed some of Legend III:I, IMO the best of the series so far and could have been better if a lot of the fat was trimmed, and I find the band to be totally boring for the most part besides that debut album. I haven't listened to the second bootlegged album yet, but even if the official one comes out in who knows when, I won't be interested in hearing it either.

| SM isn't for everybody. Apart from the first album (and only slightly apart from the second one), A lot of it is very ambient and heavily orchestrated. It isn't metal and really isn't rock, those are just two pieces of a multi piece puzzle. It transends any kind of genre specific description. | |

I owned all the SM albums at one point. Like I said, it's boring to me, at least now.

| I understand completly. As I said, not for everybody. At least you gave them a chance. As for me, I don't listen to SM that often, just every now and then when the mood strikes. | |

I read it too and I dont know - it seems logical massacre has the rights to it but I also know we havent seen the contract so we dont know the terms. _________________
