| hey I see a lot of talk about postmen going on here! not only am I the drummer for the band Phoenix Reign (whos website you can check out at www.PhoenixReign.com) I also work at the post office, and yes all your packages are annoying! lol i actually have a guy on my route who owns a record company called Paragon Records. Its a lot of death metal stuff, anyway, almost every day they are getting registered packages. Im only a sub mail carrier but the regular guy gets pissed off because they get so much registered packages. Its funny though cause theyr all death metalish and they also have a death metal band and you knock on the door and you hear a dog bark they open the door and its this harmless little fluffy white dog lol. Now thats metal \m/ | |

IMO Rebellion have not put out one bad cd, recently got Born A Rebel and is as equally as good as the Iceland concepts! They are right up there with Primal Fear as an all time fav! Wargod48

| Another one bites the dust. CD Spins in Boston is going out of business at the end of the month. That sucks! CD Spins was a local used shop that had a few locations around Boston. Right now, all but one has shut down. They've never been the greatest used shop for prices—which averaged $7.99 per CD—but you could often find some really good CDs there, especially in the singles section, where prices averaged $0.99, and they often mistakenly put a lot of EPs or full-length promos in slimeline jewelcases (i.e. SPV promos).
Prices are 30% off right now, and I was able to score some good CDs today, but it's still sad to see yet another used shop close down. There's only a few left in Boston. Years ago they were everywhere. This is why downloaders (those that never buy the CDs) disgust me.
Anyway, I picked up the following (some came in the mail):
All Night - All Night American Minor - Buffalo Creek (EP) Ana Voog - Hollywood (EP) Autumn Tears - Absolution (EP) Drill - Drill (thanks, Shiney!) Happy The Man - The Music Awakens Harmony - Dreaming Awake I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch In The House - Menace Living Things - Resight Your Rights (EP) New Creatures, The - Cunning, Baffling, Powerful! (thanks, Shiney!) Pink Cream 69 - Shame (CD Single) Prong - Whose Fist Is This Anyway? (EP) Slick Lilly - Rituals (thanks, Shiney!) Supagroup - Fire For Hire ** Under The Influence Of Giants - Under The Influence Of Giants Widowmaker - Stand By For Pain
** Free (for review).
I was stoked to find that Autumn Tears EP. It's really rare, and this copy was $3.99 and mint! The Pink Cream 69 single is just a promo, two tracks, an LP and edited version, nothing special, but it was $0.49. Hehe. I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch In The House was a $2 whim buy, meant for lala.com, but it's a great rock-meets-punk country CD! And that band name is just awesome! Haha. Under The Influence Of Giants was another blind buy that I figured I could pawn at lala, but it's also really good. Not rock at all, more or less an indie/70s rock, funk, pop, techno, whatever album, but it's great!

| Got these in the mail today:
Gilby Clarke - Pawnshop Guitars * Grand Lux - Carved In Stone * (thanks, Ult!) Ivanhoe - Visions…And Reality * Megadeth - That One Night: Live In Buenos Aires (2CD) **
* $1.75 from lala.com. ** Free (for review).
I was hoping the new Iced Earth would show up. I preordered and autographed copy from Newbury Comics and I got the ship confirmation late Thursday night. When I order CDs through lala, they sometimes show up the very next day (lala uses Newbury Comics as one of their distributors). |

I believe that was the shop I hit when the wife & I were up in Boston last summer. Picked up Motorhead's Orgasmatron and a few other cd's there. Dang shame to see any used shop go under. I guess that's the price we pay for advanced technology.
