That Cirith Ungol record is not their best hour. Some songs are okay but others really lack power and the songwriting seems sloppy at times.

It's the only album of their's Spotify had, so I gave it a shot. I'm enjoying it, but some songs are a bit lacking. I've got their earlier albums on my wishlist, and from what I've heard they're much darker than the material on this one.

If you have not heard them - by all means do. The first album ("Frost And Fire") can be a little light on the metal side of things but the other two are absolute epic metal monsters!

I'd recommend "New Revelation" next. That's my favorite by AD.
