Guess it's not indicative of the new album, just an experimental track. I actually dig it, but would hate a whole album like it.

Wow. Sounded a little bit like Neuromancer, but with guitars replaced by synths.

Odd move then to pick that one as the introductory track. I'd bury that sh*t deep, not release it as a single.
Eh, whatever. I went back a played the other, older tracks in this thread and it still doesn't do anything for me. Good luck to 'em.

I ordered one of their cds on amazon today. Blasphemy. My first band with a female singer. But the music is so damn fine.

I love this band. Especially the S/t album is amazing and I'm eagarly awaiting Unholy Saviour.
Noora is even better live I'd say:

Anyone check out the new Battle Beast tune "Familiar Hell"? I am not digging it too much.
They have a Reckless Love thing going on where they come out with a kickass record, and then each subsequent outing gets more danceable. I'll still check out the full album.

No? I love it! It's like Joan Jett meets AC/DC and 80s cheese rock.
I assume you don't like this one then?

I hadn't come across that song previously, but I do like it a little better than the other one.
Your comparisons above are pretty accurate and on paper that's something I'd be into, but just don't really feel it here. Which is kinda weird, because I'm not generally opposed to a bands' "sellout period" or "buttrock record" or whatever. I usually like those albums best in a band's catalog. Who knows...I just don't dig this stuff as much as the s/t Battle Beast album. Maybe it will grow on me, though Reckless Love's past 2 albums sure have not.

I only have the self-titled, and it's brilliant. From what I've sampled, the others aren't that interesting to me. I'll probably get around to them at some point, but "so much music, so little time", yada yada

I have been getting heavily into this band lately. Their songs are so memorable! Not a bad track. Still need to get their latest. Anyone picked it up yet?

After the previous album the band fired the guitarist, founder and main (lone) songwriter in a strange twist of events. He was essentially voted off the island.
He was the one who founded the band, came up with the name "Battle Beast", hired all the band members and wrote all the songs. Then he turned the band into a company for financial reasons, with each band member being a board member and of equal value, and the others (perfectly legally) voted to have him kicked out.
I'm kind of wary of picking up another Battle Beast album anymore. Non-founding members now own the name of the band, but didn't write any of the songs that made the band break through in the first place.
Anton Kabanen started a new band called Beast in Black, as in Battle Beast mk.2.

Well, maybe he should have allowed them some control. Clearly they are just as capable of writing great tunes.
And members that have been there since day two are pretty much founding members.

Wow, those two songs are great. That latter one is like the perfect pop metal song.
I knew the songs existed, but just listened to them today since I had time.
I've been on the fence, but Forget Battle Beast, I think I need to pick this Beast in Black album up.

I still think it's hilarious that Beast in Black has a dude who sounds EXACTLY like a chick. Not just a high-pitched vocalist, but the dude is literally singing like a girl. At least in the latest song.
But I dig chick singers, so it works for me. Haha.
