- Picked up this Horror film collection @ Shop Rite this morning... 6 movies for $6.50. Hell ya! Just in time for my annual Halloween Schlock-Tober hootenanny!
The movies (on 3 double sided DVDs) are:
"Dolls" "Pumpkinhead" "Scarecrows" "Sometimes They Come Back" "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1978 remake) "Raw Meat" (1973)
Seen a couple of these before but some will be new to me. Looks like gooooood watchin'.
Pumpkinhead and Raw Meat are the picks of that collection IMO. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Never seen "Raw Meat" but I've seen "Pumpkinhead" and "Scarecrows" in the past and both are good cheesy fun. Picked it up mainly for "Dolls" cuz I love Stuart Gordon's old school stop-motion special effects. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Never seen "Raw Meat" Raw Meat is great, but I've seen that film confuse several people, it's a British film and is definitely not your stock "cheesy" flick. It's equal parts grim and humorous. |

It's got Donald Pleasance so it's worth seeing just for that reason. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Read up on "Raw Meat" on Wikipedia, sounds like my kinda flick. Donald Pleasance's participation is a plus. It sounds very similar to a movie I saw a few years ago called "Creep," which also concerned cannibals/monsters in the London Underground. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Thrift store pickup for 50 cents: Gina Gershon (hot) and Drea DeMatteo (hot) as members of a struggling all-girl rock band. Heard good things about this one, was surprised to find it on the shelf of my rinky-dink local thrift store! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I love Gina but back when she had that IFC show which followed her around as she did her music tour every time they would have her sing it gave me a headache. I didn't think she was awful or anything just the sound of it had a funny way of piercing my head. From secondspin and came new/sealed Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil Blu-ray A blind buy based off the awesome trailer. I love my horror with a ton of wackiness thrown in. Should be right up my alley based on everything I've read.

It turns the inbred, redneck serial killer genre on its ear. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Last week from Wal Mart: No image I can find, but I also nabbed a DVD collection of 3 episodes of The Carol Burnett Show. Though this show desperatly needs a real DVD release, this will have to do. Luckily it was only about $10. | |

-Stuck! DVd, signed by Mink Stole
-Multiple Maniacs

-Drive-In Horrorshow DVD (indie anthology a la Creepshow that looks really good...also bought the soundtrack LP, and it came with a comic book). Seemed like nice dudes.

Me too. That's why I sat and watched a whole infomercial at 10:30 at night. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.
