| Anyone here a Keel fan? I loved these guys in the 80's and have hung onto my cassettes as cd's are extremely hard to find for these guys. I have heard though that they are all getting rereleased soon, I just don't know when. | |

| Never gave them a shot. My mother and sister saw them once with Bon Jovi and told me they sucked. For years I carried that opinion with me. Haha. Now, as an older, smarter man, I've wanted to try them out, but as you pointed out, their stuff isn't so easy to find. I'm sure I'd like them. My mother and sister just did the same thing I did when I saw Queensryche open for Def Leppard—they crapped on the opening band just because they didn't know them and wanted to see Bon Jovi. |

| Yeah I thought they were pretty good. I had the Right To Rock on vinyl (got it in a trade for Molly Hatchet's debut on vinyl) for years until about 2 years ago when I sold my vinyl collection. I also had the Final Frontier on cassette but have somehow misplaced it.. Wish I had all those on cd. Maybe with the rereleases I 'll have my chance. | |

| Keel were a cool band. THE RIGHT TO ROCK is probably their most "metal" album (each subsequent release got more radio friendly) but each one has some decent tracks. I was corresponding with Ron Keel via e-mail a few years ago, seems like a pretty nice guy. I hear that nowadays he's in Vegas portraying one of the Brooks & Dunn guys in a "Tribute To The Legends of Country" review show that plays the casinos. No sh*t. | |

A few years ago, he started going around as Ronnie Lee Keel and put out some country-rock albums. I think they were released as "Steel Horse" or something like that.

Yea, he gave the country music thing a try in the 90s...I got his "Ronnie Lee Keel: The Country Years" CD (bummed a CD-R from a friend) cuz my wife is a country music fan. She liked it, but I found it hard to believe it was the same Ron Keel. The disc sounds like a bunch of Garth Brooks leftovers.

| LOVED the early days of Keel! I was a big fan of Right To Rock and Final Frontier and recently had an opportunity to check out an earlier album. Marc Ferrarri is one of the more underrated guitarists from that era, IMO. | |

Eyesore, I know you're a big fan of those early Pantera albums, so you might wanna check out Keel's "BACK IN ACTION" disc from 98 in particular... it's an "odds and sods" collection that contains Keel's version of the song "Proud To Be Loud," which was on Pantera's POWER METAL album... Keel guitarist Marc Ferrari wrote that song back in the 80's and "gave" it to Pantera (presumably since Keel were broken up at that time and therefore they weren't going to be using the song)...

| I actually bought on CD 'The Right to Rock' and 'Lay Down the Law' on CD, at Walmart's website, of all places.
The 'The Final Frontier' and their self titled album is impossible to find at a decent price on CD, I am surprised Rock Candy or any other of those reissue labels have not re-released them.
