Bal-sagoth

Sorry, I'm on a weird band kick tonight. Bal-sagoth is somewhere between symphonic death metal and a comic book. Anybody?

I'd say take symphonic metal, throw it in a blender with death, black, and power metal....add some classical music, a book on mythology, and a whole heaping stack of comic books, and you've got 'em pegged!



I like some of their stuff, but just not enough to own it. They are talented like no tomorrow, and some stuff is fairly catchy, but I know I wouldn't listen to it enough to justify keeping it.

very good ear you have SAHB, Bal Sagoth are a very underrated & under appreciated band. they take alot form black, death, & symphonic power metal. great stuff & recommended to those who like more artsy metal (such as Therion).

I know that GERRIT, the singer from SACRED STEEL is a very big fan of this band but me not.

I have two of their cds which are both pretty good, though I rarely listen to them.

Just got The Power Cosmic from SAHB. I like what I'm hearing.

There were a couple of videos I saw a long time ago of them performing live... Byron, the singer, was going on some rant about dragons and swords, and honestly, I don't know how he could do that with a straight face.
But anyway, Atlantis Ascendant is great, and my favorite from them,
