THRESHOLD Return To Studio To Complete New Album

UK-based progressive metallers THRESHOLD have announced they will return to the studio to complete work on their forthcoming ninth studio album, due for release through Nuclear Blast Records in 2012.

The band recently finished their final shows of the summer, following performances in the Netherlands and at the Night Of The Prog Festival in Germany.

Frontman Damian Wilson recently launched a brand new website.

Threshold have revealed more details of their upcoming ninth studio album. "March Of Progress" will be released via Nuclear Blast Records on 31 August 2012 and will come in a limited Digipak edition including bonus track, a standard jewel case edition and a vinyl double album in two different colours.

Keyboardist Richard West commented on the approaching release: "It's been a long march but the new Threshold album is finally ready. This is our longest album to date - we hope you're going to love it!"

I'll check it out, kind of lost touch with these guys.

Subsurface and especially Critical Mass are perfect. Haven't heard past these two, but I'm sure it will be at least good.

Yeah, love these guys. So glad Damian is back in the band. He's one of my favorite vocalists.

Sweet! Will have to get this one! I really like their progressive sound; curious to see if their sound "modernizes" at all. I hope not! Why ruin a good thing?

yep. I love their early sound a lot.

I prefer the later material but the early sound ain't bad. I really like their vocalist's work in Ayreon as Then Knight in IteC.
