Although I cite Shotgun Justice as their best album, this is their greatest song IMO. A classic, criminally underrated.

anything with the original singer. Take This Torch is probably the best song they ever wrote. A classic like Metallica's Whiplash, Anvil's 666, Motorhead's Overkill, Exciter's Stand Up and Fight, etc

"Take This Torch" is probably my favorite as well. "Challenge the Eagle", "Evil Invaders", "March of Death", "Malicious Intent", "Violent Restitution", "Hot Metal", etc. are up there, though. I love Razor sooo much!!!!!

I have an original pressing of "Shotgun Justice" complete with Fringe Records insert for 6.99. (perfect condition). I had no idea how much it was worth at the time. Great Album, but it needs to be remastered. "The Pugilist" is a great song, too.

It's hard to narrow it down to one, but my favorites include "Take This Torch", "Tortured Skull", "Malicious Intent", "Tear Me to Pieces", "Forced Annihilation", "The Marshall Arts", "Electric Torture", "The Meaning of Pain, and "Mental Torture".

Actually, Razor haven't released an album since they released Decibels in 1997.

Although Razor is on my list of top 10 thrash bands of all time my two favorite releases are Violent Restitution and Shotgun Justice. I have heard they are making a few rare appearances also in Canada, but can anyone confirm if they are indeed working on some new material?

I don't own any of the Razor albums with Bob Reid on vocals. I like what I've heard from Shotgun Justice and Open Hostility, but it's my understanding that those albums are now out of print. As far as I recall, I didn't like him as much as Sheepdog. I don't recall ever hearing anything from Decibels, but I don't think that album is very popular with Razor's fans.

Shotgun Justice and Open Hostility were reissued two or three years ago, but on vinyl only.

Great band. I love their brand of speed metal.
Along with Exciter, they are among my favourite bands.

When they played the Glory Through Steel all day concert (2009), they brought the amps they were using from the studio and sounded EXACTLY like the albums for once I was told.
They played in Montreal a few months back with Riotor I think. I always hear murmurings that Dave Carlo has recorded some material, but he makes more money being a producer (heard it was for tv/radio spots) so he is not in a rush anymore to do much with Razor. No idea how people get him to play concerts since it isn't for the money.

Excellent news ! This is a band that I always wanted to check out but their releases have always been too pricey. Now's the chance to see what I've been missing.

If this leads me to finally obtaining Shotgun Justice then I'll be very happy.
I thought Decibels was really good. Not the first Razor I'd reach for, but a good solid album worth owning.

A while back, the band was offering free downloads from a bunch of their albums. I made a cdr then promptly forgot about it. I'll have to dig around and see if I can find it. Give it a fresh spin and determine if I care about this band or not.
