That Furbowl disc rules, man! Haha. As for Bodom, isn't that the case with all death metal bands, though? I am far from an expert on death metal, but aren't the vocals largely what sets it apart from other styles?

i'm no expert either, i just listen to a hella lot of it. it's so much more than just vox that sets it apart, even in melodeath. a lot of people confuse grindcore with death metal or deathcore too. i'm not smart or sober enough enough to explain it. there just is a difference, i promise.

Well, I know there's blast beats and all that. But if you took a Morbid Angel tune and stuck Ralf Scheepers on vocals, what kind of music would it be then? I mean, besides horrible. Haha.

dude, check out the new Satan's Host. that's about as close to that scenario as you're going to get with any success. although it's more black than death, given their history. musically though, it's pretty similar....

Wow! That is killer! With that name and those album covers, I would never have given it a second glance. It's a lot like Heathendom when they're not doing the black metal stuff. And the singer reminds me of old Warrel Dane a bit.

Either way, this is awesome. Gonna have to buy some of this stuff now.

I'm surprised I haven't seen many people list Carcass' Heartwork. Heartwork is a friggin masterpiece. I love me some Nile too. One of the best death metal bands out there. Their newest album Those Whom the Gods Detest destroys. Extol's Undecieved is amazing as well.

I know I've seen more bands on this thread than I could possibly get into. Seen some really good names however.
